they did this in mk:gold but it will look much better now since the improvement in 3-d graphics for games. i think this would be cool b-cuz it was stupid how most of the endings were 3rd person. so in mk7 they should have it where it is expressed through video.

what do u think.grin

I'd like to see it done in a video format as well. If Tekken can do it then so can they.

Tekken can do it because their FMVs are done in house. MK has a different company do it for them. But if it was in FMV, I think it should be done by ROBOT. It's the same company who did the opening cinematic for Onimusha 3. If you want to see it, go to
http://www.onimusha3.co.uk/controller.html
Click on "The Game" and then video to check out the opening in four segments.

Tekken 5 Endings = Awesome videos, awful stories...
MK: D Endings = Good renders, better stories...
SC2 Endings = Cute B&W pics, great stories...

No, I still prefer the render endings, and improve in other more necesary things...

I'd prefer to have FMV endings too. Just because Tekken has rubbish stories with theirs, doesn't mean MK will be the same. It'll be the same kind of endings we're used to, only in wonderful video format.

Having everyone's ending be like the FMV intro would be friggin sweet. However, there is one reason why it won't be implemented I don't think:

Time and money. If you look at the MKD intro, it surely cost them somewhere in the high figures to do that. Plus, I believe there's an allocated budget that the MK Team has to adhere to. Plus, if there's 26+ characters, all the endings combined might take the same length of time it did for the into to be completed. Until, a workable budget is set where FMV can be done, we're going to see rendered endings for a long time to come.

Your right but, Maybe when MK games start coming out on PS3 FMV intros and endings will be possible. I dont know exactly how fast PS3 games can and will be made but Im assuming It will take about the same length of time as PS2 games. With PS3 im sure it will be much easier to include good intros and endings in most of the games and it shouldn't be too expensive.

Just a thought.

FMV endings would've been cool for MKDA and D, but it's already been mentioned that it would have cost too much...
MK4/G had really good ones, and it's annoying that they gave them to us, then took em away againconfused

However, I wasn't as disappointed with Deadly Alliances, as much as Deception's - and I think it's down to the content. MKD's seemed rushed, and flimsy, with only a handful showing any sign of future storyline development.
I think almost every ending in DA had the possibility of coming true in MK6, leaving many open ends, and allowing for much fin speculation from us fanstongue Judging by the lack of noise made about MKD's endings here on MKO, the same cannot be said.

But, as mentioned earlier, I'd rather they put the time and money into the fighting engine, than spend it on the superficial endings. It's just a bit of a pain (for me) that they gave us FMV endings in MK Gold, and then expected us not to complain about the screenshot endings when MKDA and D came around.

---

Oh, and if they can't afford FMV endings...how about using in-game graphics?

I for one, wouldn't mind seeing an ending that is actual game footage / graphics, accompained by commentary...

If it's on PS3 etc then they needn't be pre-rendered. They could just use the in-game character models, engine and that. Of course they'd still need to do the animation/motion capture, voice acting, lip syncing etc, but presumably that stuff is relatively cheap to do these days.

Obviously given the choice i'd opt for better gameplay over ending movies, but i don't think there is a choice really.
Yesssssss!!!!! I would love for them to do that again itwould look very cool,
