MK9 Story mode - less than 2 hours of cutscenes.

We all should know it's not just about length, it's also about girth. And this story is packed fat with meaty character goodness. The interaction between characters is so nice (especially the main characters) it makes MK9 look like it was thrown together in minutes. Don't get me wrong, there's plenty of characters that don't get as much screen time as some would have liked (I would have loved to see some , but it was the same with MK9. The point here is that the interaction that does happen is charming and well done.

Looks to be consistent with what Ed Boon has said before. He said it was comparable to MK 9, or about the same length. Never once heard him say it was a great deal longer. He did say there was more in it, and from what I have read it is a packed story.

From what I understand there are 12 chapters and they all have four fights per chapter. MK9 had more chapters total, but only three fights per chapter. The total length of story mode between MK9 and MKX is very close, but people automatically come to the conclusion that the one in MKX is shorter because there are less chapters. The reality is there is more substance packed in to each chapter in MKX compared to its predecessor and it's a noticeable upgrade.

Shoot, my bad guys. It's been over a year since I last completed story mode in MK9. I really thought I remembered it being three fights per character for every chapter. Still from several of the comments I've read, it looks like the cutscene lengths between MK9 and MKX are almost identical.
