i think in mk 7 ermac should be able to morph got a few ideas maybe something like this, they can make ermac morph into a limited amount of fighters like lui kang and some other good guys that his story revolves around. That way we dont need liu kang and some other characters that arnt so favored at the same time he should keep his teleslam and green projectile that way it makes him still original at the same time unique, This would also keep the liu kang fans happy as well. i dont think he should completely morph into the characters phyical form but his eyes can glow green and only the person useing ermac knows who he turned into by joystick comand keeping his opponet guessing what kind of attack is coming next at the same time not over loading the amount of characters being morphed into keep it to a max of 5-6 sort of like what jinko had in deception

what do you guys think?

Being an amalgam collection of souls has nothing to do with morphing. Shang Tsung has an innate ability to change shape at will as a sorcerer. Ermac is uique as he is, no need to take away the breeding bone of other characters. Especially if it's an in-game ripoff.

Well technically, Shang Tsung can only morph into people he's already killed and absorbed their souls.

Not true. It was only made up by the movie and the comic plotlines. Shang Tsung never killed Kung Lao, yet he took up his form to suprise Liu Kang.
And that is the first one of evidences supporting this. I think Shang Tsung shapeshifts at will, thanks to his ability as a sorcerer.

then how about use those amalgam of souls to morph into as it will add new characters that add to the gameplay maybe use 4-5 of them and then set a few up for mk 8 plotline

No. it would lessen Shang Tsungs character and uniqueness. But, I think Ermac could be something like a interdimensional entity, what exists both on spiritual and material planes and is active on both. Something like a seer.

They should leave the morphing to Shang Tsung. Unfortunately, he is dead, and I don't really want him back anyways.

Ermac shouldn't morph, but instead use tactics from ancient warriors. if he has all of those warrior souls in him, why does he only use the telekenetic one? he should use mostly short ranged teqniques. the only long ranged teqnique he should use is the teleslam

Wether Shang Tsung is back or gone forever is not for you to decide Lega-cy. Thank God. It doesn't matter if he is living or dead, certain characters have gimics and traits that should remain with them, even though they are gone for awhile.

Anyway, why didn't Shang have morping powers in MK:DA? I'm guessing compatability issues, or they just didn't have time to finish it?

Ok nobodys as BIG a Ermac fan than me!!!!

I have to totally 100% OBJECT to this idea,sorry man but i disagree,Ermac is made up of souls whos knows how many,it could be 10 or thousands for all we know.NO keep Ermac the same,if they make him morph they will just KILL Ermac as a character.

However if they somehow bring back Shang Tsung,they SHOULD give him back his morphs,in 3d that would be HOT to see!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, yes, technical background, but he did have morphs on MKTE but on which platform? Somewhere I stumbled upon Shang morphs for MKDA-TE.

But anyway, I think for one game Shang Tsung proved that he can fight on his very own skills. Add that to the fact that he can still morph. Voila, one heck of a character.

shang tsung should probabkly have a limit to his morphs. i think that during cut scenes, ermac should do a terminator 2 style thing and just have part of his torso just ripped off to avoid the punch.
bear in mind that (not only have they cancelled morphs altogether) ermac is locked through sorcery, so he probably can't alter his form, as if he was chained by them.
