AZALEA

AZALEA'S COSTUME & ALTERNATE:
Azalea can wear a long white flowing silk fabric like robe with long extended sleeves motioning into a flowery ribbon like motion when she sways her arms. She could also wear a moderate sized silk sash with the ribbons hanging down in the front of her attire. She would also be accented with long flowing dress resembling a sun dress down to the ankles or a hakama in white. The robe can be decorated with flower heads and pedals across her garment as well. Finally, she can wear a pair of sandals on her feet. Her alternate can be either a majority pink or a majority green colored robe with long extended sleeves motioning into a flowery ribbon like motion when she sways her arms back and forth. She could also wear a moderate sized silk sash with the ribbons hanging down in the front of her attire in either green if her robe is pink or pink if her robe is green. Again her robe can be decorated and litered with flower heads and pedals across her garments. Finally, she could be accented with again a silk flowing flowery sun dress down to her ankles or a hakama matching her robe with a pair of sandals. On both costumes she could also have a flower head in her head dress that would stay in her hair like a hairpin along with a long ribbon tied up around her ponytail swaying in the wind.

AZALEA'S FIGHTING STYLE:
Azalea can have a Wing Chun fighting style with quick yet elegant sophiscated movements. She can flood her opponent with a bunch of flowing and circulartory movements to entrance her opponent like a ballerina but also spring into a bunch of strengthened punches and kicks. She's known to be very elusive luring her opponent's into comprimising positions as well as aggressive in stragetic moments when opportunities present themselves from her opponent.

AZALEA'S BACKSTORY:
Azalea being adored for her beauty growing up was also raised to be thoughtful, kind, positive and outgoing by loving parents who wanted the best for her. While staying busy with herself, friends and family, a situation occured that threatened the makeup of her world. And brought about a world of confusion to herself and friends around her. This would have her summon a means of trying to defend herself, friends and family in the world that she came from. This would cause her to spawn her secret powers of manipulating vegetation and flowers she learned from her mother when she was younger. She would hide her friends and family members from harms way while making preparations upon entering a highly competitive yet aged old tournament consisting of the world's best renown fighters and beyond. Azalea would enter Mortal Kombat as a wild card defending her world from intruders and common enemies.

AZALEA'S SPECIALTY MOVES:
Dandelion - A dandelion plant appears in Azalea's mythically appears in her front side hand. She then blows on the head of the danelion flower blowing the seedlings towards her opponent across the screen. The seedlings can then transform in mid-flight to a series of razor sharp metal spikes, peppering her opponent with a barrage of hits to their upper torso and pushing them into a backwards stumble.

Sunflower Star - From fighting stance, Azalea, can fling her front side arm to backside shoulder and toss the head of a sunflower across the screen at her opponent, to where the pedals form razor sharp metal blades and circulate/grind her opponent's chest before disappearing.

Aerial Sunflower - From fighting stance, Azalea, can leap vertically upwards or into a front/backwards somersault and fling the head of a sunflower across the screen towards her opponent like a ninja star to where the pedals form razor sharp metal blades and circulate/grind on her opponent's chest knocking them out of the air into a free fall backwards on their back.

Descending Sunflower - From fighting stance, Azalea, can leap vertically upwards or into a front/backwards somersault and fling the head of a sunflower diagonally downward towards her footbound opponent like a ninja star to where the pedals form razor sharp metal blades and circulate/grind on her opponent's chest knocking them out into a stumble backwards.

Rising Sunflower - From a crouching disposition on one knee, Azalea, can fling the head of a sunflower diagonally upward towards her airbound opponent, to where the pedals form razor sharp metal blades and circulate/grind her against her opponent's chest before disappearing knocking them out of the air into a free fall backwards on their back.

Cherry Blossom Barrage - From fighting stance, Azalea can jump into a vertical leap with knee extended outward, or into a front/backwards somersault and disappear in a blinking imprint. She then can reappear on her opponent in a piggyback disposition with her arm around their neck. A barrage of leaves then, can wisk and sway quickly towards her opponent while in mid-flight transforming into razor sharp metal leaves peppering her opponent's chest while in the constraints of her arms. She then can execute a backwards somersault off their back while opponent falls to their knees to the floor.

Martha's Vineyard - From fighting stance, Azalea, can motion into a double handed uppercut motion in front of her chest, and give rise to a series of poisonous vines with sharpened thorns sticking out of the vines to sprout out of the ground underneath her opponent's feet. The vines illuminate when wrapping around her opponent's body and then materialize into the green poisonous thorns entrenched vines suffocating her opponent where they stand. She then can fling her backside arm past her waist and cause the vines to scrape and lacerated her opponent cutting their skin in multiple areas before rescending back into the ground.

Toxic Touch - From fighting stance, Azalea can grab and clutch her opponent in a tight knitted bear hug with both arms wrapped around her opponent. Her skin can turn dark green and secreet a series of poisonous enzymes that burns and eats away at her opponent like acid taking off energy. She then can release her hold on her opponent as they drop to their knees in pain. Her skin would then return back to normal.

Autumn's Breeze - From fighting stance, Azalea can cock back her front side arm to backside shoulder and fling her arm towards her opponent. This creates a jet stream of leaves to blow in a lower cased cursive letter "e" motioning across the screen. In mid-flight the leaves transform into razor sharp metal leaves peppering her opponent's upper extremities with a series of cuts and lacerations.

Spring Vineyard - From fighting stance, Azalea, can motion into a double handed uppercut motion in front of her chest, and give rise to a series of poisonous vines with sharpened thorns sticking out of the vines to sprout out of the ground underneath her opponent's feet. The vines illuminate when wrapping around her opponent's body and then materialize into the green poisonous thorns entrenched vines propelling her opponent across the screen towards Azalea in a stumbling motion for a possible hand based combos before rescending into the ground.

Broken Branch - From fighting stance, Azalea, can cock back her arm to backside shoulder as a moderate sized branch could appear in her hand. She could then fling the branch at her opponent like a frisbee and as it circulates across the screen, the branch can transform into a sizable tree trunk such as a Red Oak tree trunk in a forest, colliding on her opponent's chest and sending them into a free fall backwards on their back face up before disappearing.

Vineyard's Garden - From fighting stance, Azalea, can motion into a double handed uppercut motion in front of her chest, and give rise to a series of poisonous vines with sharpened thorns sticking out of the vines to sprout out of the ground underneath her opponent's feet. The vines illuminate when wrapping around her opponent's body and then materialize into the green poisonous thorns entrenched vines suffocating her opponent where they stand. Azalea, can then race forward towards her disabled opponent and execute a string of hand/kicking based combos while trapped into the poisonous vines. The vines would then disappear as her opponent gets knocked into a stumble backwards.

Venus Fly Trap - From a crouching disposition on one knee, Azalea, can fling her intersecting arms back past her waist and sprout a series of knee high Venus fly trap plants along the ground. They can look like minature versions of that talking "Little Shops of Horror" plant. Once touched or stepped on, they lock on the opponent's foot like a rockwiler's bite, locking her opponent in place and taking off energy from their energy bar. She also can follow up with hand/kicking based combos while her opponent is disabled.

AZALEA'S INTRO:
She simply prances towards her opponent circulating and spinning around like dancing ballerina in an open pasture, and with each step you see grass, flowers and butterflies appear beneath and around her feet before diappearing. She extends her hand and states her opponent, "And who are you supposed to be?" in a inquistive tone of voice.

AZALEA'S MID-MATCH TAUNT:
She backs herself causiously back towards her position on stage and states, "Humph, you're beneath me!!!!"

AZALEA'S WINNING POSE:
Smiles, reaches back to her backside hip and flings a bunch of flowers towards the camera and bows respectfully. It can look like a musical composer or a musican who gets flowers and panties thrown at them after a performance except she'd be the one thrown the flowers.

AZALEA'S X-RAY:

AZALEA'S FINISHING MOVE:
Suffocation - Azalea walks over to her disoriented opponent as the backdrop fades to black. She then grabs her opponent into a tight knitted bear hug and suffocates them in her grappling choke hold with her arm around their neck. Her skin flickers back and forth from darke green to normal, secreeting a series of poisonous enzymes that continually eats away at her opponent's skin as they scramble to free themselves from her grasp. Eventually after several seconds, the enzymes eats away her opponent's skin down to the bone leaving nothing but a rotten skelton and steam vapors drifting off the corpse. She turns the camera and strikes her winning pose.

AZALEA'S ENDSTORY:
?

I know these aren't MK10 characters I'm suggesting right now but....

In MK11... if there's a way to make characters for the next game that would be about the Great Kung Lao's past.

SARINDEBO (finished)

GENERAL STATS:
Male
Unknown believed to be several centuries old
5’10
190 lbs.
Providence in Outworld
Kendo, Naginatajutsu, Jigen & Naginata
Alliances with Divine Nine Assassin, Shang Tsung, Quan Chi and Outworld; Evil

SARINDEBO’S COSTUME & ALTERNATE:
Sarindebo can have the traditional armor that a head samurai would wear from the Edo period, with thin light but sturdy armor in black and golden metallic color and the traditional samurai helmet and mask such as the uniform below. He can be armored with traditional two katana blade swords and have a Naginata spear to carry.

SARINDEBO’S BACKSTORY:
Sarindebo is a resurrected soul of a samurai warlord brought to life by Quan Chi. When Shang Tsung informed Quan Chi of his plan to hosts the next Mortal Kombat tournament at Shao Kahn’s biddings, he instructed him to find the most skilled and infamous warrior he could find, to head up and lead his legion of assassins. So Quan Chi foraged through both Earth realm and the Outworld to grave sites of decorated cemeteries of ancient warriors convinced that no living warriors were sufficient. He came across the grave site of the famed Sarindebo a ruthless Outworld samurai infamous in many of the most violent wars in Outworld. Doing research on his credentials and accolades as a general convinced Quan Chi of his potential for the position. So with his sorcery he conjured up his soul and resurrected his body into mint condition. Having control of this warrior, Shang Tsung instructed him to take him to Shao Kahn for approval to do his biddings. He then went to Shao Kahn and respectfully requested Sarindebo to be restored to the age of a young man and be bestowed mythical powers to go along with his war-like spirit. Shao Kahn very begrudgingly granted his request with the consequence that failure on this venture would result in severe punishment. With a flick of his wrists, Sarindebo absorbed the breath of life exhaled into his body and became the famed warlord of his past. Sarindebo enters Mortal Kombat as the leader of Shang Tsung’s elite legion of assassins.

SARINDEBO’S FIGHTING STYLE:
Sarindebo as a famed Outworld samurai was an expert in many styles of samurai swordsmanship but is most proficient in Naginatajutsu. Known for more of the most gruesome and violent wars, Sarindebo would exercise various forms of Kendo, Naginatajutsu. With Shao Kahn bestowing mythical powers to Sarindebo at the request of Quan Chi, he becomes even more powerful, with a mythical horse named “War Emblem” he rides and utilizes as a tool to gain leverage against his foot bound enemies. Sarindebo is also a proven master of the Naginata weapon that he carries and various swordsmanship styles only rivaled to Tanaka.

SARINDEBO’S SPECIALTY MOVES:
Backdraft – With Naginata spear held in his back side hand in the standardized position of facing the camera, Sarindebo cocks his hand held spear to front side shoulder singlehandedly, and flings the weapon across his chest to backside hip creating a back draft of fire in a sudden gust across the ground to engulf his opponent in a dragon like shape or feature.

Conjured Spirit – Reaches up to the sky with front side hand and conjures up a ghostly famed warlord spirit of his past that engulfs and radiates from his samurai armor like a an aura. He then projects his Naginata spear towards his opponent with both hands and charges towards them like a bull does a matador with the spirit radiating around him and impales his opponent in the chest. He then runs a few paces with clouds of dust trailing his footsteps and his opponent paralyzed on the tip of his spear only to come to a complete stop and perform a front snap kick to kick his paralyzed opponent off his spear into a free fall backwards to the pavement laying on their back.

Rapid Stab – Sarindebo projects his spear across his body held in both hands and rapidly impales his opponent in their upper extremities with his Naginata spear multiple times.

Dragon Projectile - On bended knee, Sarindebo throws a mythical golden dragon image projectile the length of his hand held spear towards his opponents chest, by motioning in much the same way that a javelin is thrown, with his hand held spear.

Trample - Sarindebo conjures up his mythical riding horse to appear beneath his feet to charge towards his opponent like a race horse and trample over his opponents body then mythically disappears beneath his feet to transition into his fighting stance. (Can be knocked off horse with projectile or precisely aimed physical hit to body.)

Riding Impalement - Sarindebo’s mythical horse appears under Sarindebo’s feet and races past opponent giving Sarindebo a chance to impale his opponent with his long reaching spear. Once past opponent, the horse disappears. (Can be knocked off horse with projectile or precisely aimed physical hit to body.)

Bucking Stomp - Sarindebo’s mythical horse appears magically under his feet and bucks over his opponents head with front legs, only to have them slam down on opponent’s body in similar fashion as Kintaro/Goro/Sheeva. (Can be knocked off horse with projectile or precisely aimed physical hit to body.)

Bucking Kick - Sarindebo conjures up his mythical riding horse to appear beneath his feet to race past his opponent and just as he passes opponent, bucks his hind legs at opponent. It would knock them off their feet and into the far side of the screen and taking off a considerable amount of energy then disappearing while Sarindebo transitions into fighting stance.

Electric Spear Harpoon - In fighting stance he thrusts his sword-like bladed end of spear towards opponent that shoots out attached to a chain to impale them in the chest much like Scorpion’s harpoon. He then yanks down on the spear to retract the blade back into wooden pole causing a flash of a golden electric current to generate from spear and crawl up the spear through the chain and bladed tip of his spear lodged in opponent. This disables his opponent momentarily leaving them slumped over at the knees and open for combos and takes a considerable amount of energy off life bar before retracting the bladed end of spear back within the spear‘s frame.

Golden Shield - A golden circular shield grows from the extended arm and open palm of Sarindebo to act as a defensive & offensive mechanism. This reflects any projectiles thrown towards him and acts as a defensive barrier to physical hits from opponent. The shield then shrinks down in the palm of Sarindebo’s open palm.

Katana Slice - Unsheathes his katana blade at waists single handedly (since he carries a spear in other hand.) And with a series of precise slashing cuts back and forth across his body cuts and slashes at his opponent leaving golden streaks with each sword stroke in opponent’s upper extremities. He then discards his sword back into sheath single handedly.

Circular Slice - With spear in single hand he twirls weapon by his body perpendicular to the plane of the ground, and in an overhead motion with both hands grasping the spear now, slices his opponent stepping into his slice stroke. Spear shifts to single hand again after slicing motion.

Aerial Circular Slice - With spear in single hand he jumps into the air and while airborne, twirls weapon by his body perpendicular to the plane of the ground generating a golden circular streak from motion, and in an overhead motion with both hands grasping the spear now and body fully extended back to add more impact, slices his opponent whether they’re in mid-air or on ground.

Silhouette Slice - With spear he twirls weapon back and forth across his body, striking his opponent multiple times with the bladed end and also the staffed end of spear.

Vital Nerve Strike - With spear in both hands he thrusts his spear towards his opponent to impale them in the chest. Sarindebo the motions with his front side arm by fling it forward the shaft of his spear to transfers a mythical image of a golden dragon to skate up the shaft of the spear to incase the body of opponent in golden glow, much like Sub-Zero’s ice statue, paralyzing them in their place due to striking a vital nerve. This leaves Sarindebo’s opponent open to execute a string of combos or free hits. Sarindebo then dislodges the spear from opponent’s chest to perform combos hypothetically.

Backdraft Shield – With Naginata spear held in his back side hand in the standardized position of facing the camera, Sarindebo cocks his hand held spear to front side shoulder singlehandedly, and flings the weapon across his chest to backside hip creating a back draft of fire in a sudden gust across the ground to engulf into a dragon like shape or feature spiraling around himself. An overly aggressive opponent would get incinerated from touching the flaming drafts.

Raging Dragon Inferno - Jumping straight up in a vertical motion, Sarindebo thrusts his Naginata spear diagonally downward to stick into the ground before his footbound opponent. The friction of the bladed tip and ground sparks a snake like dragon figurine that lunges in rising exponential curve motion carrying his opponent with the wind draft only to descend down into a spiraling motion to the ground on their back. Sarindebo can then repossess his Naginata weapon.

SARINDEBO’S WINNING POSE:
Raises spear in one hand above his head to where it’s close to parallel to plane of ground.

SARINDEBO’S MID-TAUNT:
With Naginata in hand he turns his back and walks over to his fighting position with Naginata weapon resting on his shoulders then faces his opponent in fighting stance.

SARINDEBO’S INTRO:
Sarindebo rides in on his mythical horse to make an abrupt stop bucking in the air in his tracks his front legs. His riding horse then disappears from beneath him as he readies in his fighting stance.

SARINDEBO’S X-RAY MOVE:
Post Pardon Depression - Sarindebo thrusts the staff ended section of his Naginata into the sternum of his opponent causing them to slightly jump in shock and clutch their chest. He then twirls the staff ended section of his weapon across the jaw line of his opponent, dazing and disorienting his opponent where they stand. He then executes a jumping front snap kick to the upper extremities of his opponent causing them to stumble backwards grimace agony.

SARINDEBO’S FATALITY
Headless Horsemen - Sarindebo, mounted on mythical bucking horse and spear held in secondary hand, aims his katana blade towards the sky to where it illuminates with a golden light, he then charges on horse pass disoriented opponent with glowing sword and with one precise, clean cut, slices through the neck of opponent with head still in place. His mythical horse then disappears and you see a series of beamed lights illuminating from the lacerated cut line on opponent’s neck, to cause his opponent’s head to fall over on the pavement and explode splattering blood across the screen.

SARINDEBO’S END STORY:
After winning the tournament, Sarindebo becomes enriched with power and arrogance. The mythical powers that were entrusted to him by Shao Kahn and Quan Chi proved to be a fatal mistake, in that Sarindebo would become too powerful to control now. As a result of his growth in power, Sarindebo decided to take his own course of action and laid his eyes upon the emperor Shao Kahn himself. Sarindebo and Shao Kahn engaged in a one-on-one match to where Shao Kahn was overpowered by Sarindebo’s war-like tactics. Killing the emperor, Sarindebo absorbed all of his energy and became even more of powerful for anyone to contend with him. Undisputed, Sarindebo takes his place on the former emperor’s throne with Quan Chi and Shang Tsung to be his subservient sorcerers. With place on the throne and power uncontested and Earthrealm and Outworld emerged as one, Sarindebo plans to take over the universe with his own army of warriors. Sarindebo will finish what Shao Kahn had started and conquer all the remaining realms until his has ultimate power.

SARINDEBO’S WEAPON CAN LOOK EXACTLY AS THE PICTURE ABOVE.

SARINDEBO’S FIGHTING STANCE:
Standing with face facing the camera, his backside arm hold his Naginata weapon single-handed across his backside hip, while his forward side hand maintains a clutched fist type of posture slightly bent at his side. At a standstill he huffs and puffs with his upper torso moving slightly up and down.

You have got to be kidding me.
Do you really think that a samurai deserves to enter MK because of a short TV show? With this in mind, I take you back to a comment you may have read before.

Really, I would love to have a samurai in MK. It would be pretty good to mix thing up, but not because of a small television competition. That's NEVER a good excuse to base an entire character from.

How about an insect warrior. Kinda almost like Reptile?

Personally, I want them to flesh out a new realm: the Dream Realm. This alone would bring with it a few new characters, characters that can allow for a little more freedom as to their powers and appearance (don't need to be human).

Other than that I really want to see Motaro make a proper, full-on Centaur return, instead of turning him into a Minotaur like Armageddon.

Also, I love how they reimagined some of the older characters: Johnny Cage training in Seido; Smoke not becoming a cyborg and is a demon/demigod thing; Cyber-Sub-Zero. These characters need to return.

Finally, no clowns, they really don't fit in with the aesthetic of the game.

Might work for Injustice, since they have a lot of flying characters, but not so much for MK. Especially not with the fatalities.

I'd rather see them have another go at doing centaurs, but then wings would be so much easier than that. :(

We already have Nitara. And Hawkgirl played pretty well and she had wings. So NRS is definitely capable. The question is: Will NRS make Nitara an aerial character?

But a lot of characters had airial / flight capabilities in Injustice. Mortal Kombat is a little more grounded. So having an airial character would mean all characters would need some form of airial attacks/defences.

Also, Injustice didn't have to deal with removable limbs. I think that would play a big part in it.

I'm not saying it's impossible to do, I just don't think it's as easy as slapping on a couple of wings and saying "hey-presto".

Let me elaborate:

Nitara had wings but hardly flew at all.

The wings on Hawkgirl looked decent, but I feel they could have done a much better job with it. Her wings looked way too clunky.

I'm talking about they're flying during the entire fight.

I know. I'm saying in the next MK that she appears in as a playable fighter, they could give her an aerial moveset that fully utilizes her wings. I used Hawkgirl in an example to show that they are capable of winged fighters.
