I just want to know everyone's thoughts on this. Obviously "Shaolin Monks" is next, and no one knows exactly what's in store as far as an official MK7, but it seems it a ways off anyway.

So the question is, between SM and MK7, should Midway incorporate all of the characters from 4, 5 and 6 into one all-inclusive MK game? We all know that everyone wants to see the Deadly Alliance characters in MK:D, maybe this would be a good way of doing it. And including the MK4 characters would be the icing on the cake.

If you had a hand in it, what else would you include in "Mortal Kombat Trilogy 2"? Would it have all of the extra modes from MK6, or would the focus be on the fighting with the huge roster? And which "old-school" characters would you revive that we haven't seen in 3D yet?

I'd want a HUGE arsenal of every character ever made, in 3-D. I especially want every ninja. Rain and Chameleon included. That would be the ultimate game. Old school characters like Rain vs. new age characters like Dragon King.

If they make another "Trilogy" I don't think it will be called "Trilogy 2" because there will be more than 3 MK games there. tongue tongue

That would be nice if they would do a 2nd trilogy type game.

I would say:

-include all characters from MK 4-6
-Take away breakers ( or make it an option at least...like aggresor in the original trilogy)
-add a story for each character that basically sums up thier parts in MK 4-6 (or even 1-6)
-Make Dragon King and Moloch Playable
-Keep puzzle Kombat

It doesnt seem like it would be that hard...they already have an engine and most of the characters. It should have at least 42 characters as the huge roster would be the main draw of the game.

I'd love to see Mortal Kombat Sexilogy (6) come to reality. Though I don't think it could be done with 3d renders, that be so much space! It'd be just as badass though if they did it in the 2d way! I don't know maybe they could do it 3d for the next generation consoles with either mk4 or mkda quality? Either way it'd be fun fun fun!

i think a 2d version would be awesome. cause triology for psone is kinda slow and feels a bit unresponsive sometimes. one of the things about Midway Arcade Treasures 2 is they put MK3 but not UMK3, which doesn't make much sense to me. it could be like Mortal Kombat Ages or something. they of course could spruce of the graphics to be a bit nicer, but a 2-d MK3 style game would be awesome, if not a MK4 (MK:GOLD) styled version.

This is what they should do.

Remake MKT for PS2 in perfect arcade graphics, sound etc...

Add in Quan Chi, Shinnok, Fujin from MKM

And boom your done.

But they should NOT add the characters from MKDA and MKD into it. I hate the stupid new characters that DUMB boon made.

Well, I'd actually love this, but not in 3D, sprites would fit better.

For a ton of reasons;
1) A system would have a LOT of trouble holding that many characters.
2) Fighting Styles would have to be repeated several times, and that's just not fun.
3) I'd love to see midway make sprites of the new characters.
4) Shang Tsung could transform without lag with sprites.

Also, it would not be called 'Trilogy 2', trilogy means a series of 3, hence trilogy was based off of MK3.

Anyways, it would be GREAT!!
But screw 3D, make it with sprites. And give all the characters their old moves, ALL of their old moves.

And ONLINE PLAY!

this is what i think. the next game will be triology because i remeber it started off wit mk 1 2 3 then triology. They made 3 games then they put the triology. so what i think is mk4 mkda and mkd is all goin to be a triology

they should make it 2D and make it like for Reptile you can choose either a MK4 style Reptile or a MKDA Reptile. like all the characters will have styles like that if they appeared in more than one game in this new trilogy. they could also have a 3D look to it also that looks like PSX quality for all i care.

I would like them to give Stryker another chance, all I thought was wrong with him in MK3 was his storyline.

I would like to see an MKT2 game. If so, they would have to use the mkd stuff to remake the MK4 characters and stages so they look like mkd characters (they look like shit in mk4).

It may be possible but I dont think they will ever add MK4 because DA and Deception have the same graphics and MK4s graphics are totally off

I wouldn't mind seeing an Anthology game, especially if it was in 2d.

Mortal Kombat Trilogy 2 would be interesting, and I'd buy it. But what if Midway finally does a Kompilation disk, that includes every MK game up to and maybe including DA, you know, like Sega is doing with the Sonic games? Example:

Disk 1:
*Mortal Kombat 1 (Arcade Port from MK:D Special Edition)
*Mortal Kombat 2 (Arcade Port also)
*Mortal Kombat 3 (Genesis and/or SNES versions)
*Mortal Kombat 4 (PS and/or N64 versions)

Disk 2:
*Ulitmate Mortal Kombat 3 (Genesis and/or SNES versions)
*MK: Sub-Zero Mythologies (PS and/or N64 versions)
*Mortal Kombat Gold (not everyone got Dreamcast, I'd like to try this game)
*Mortal Kobat: Special Forces

I think this would be a good idea to do also. Either way would be good.

I'd just like to make some alterations to that:

-Scrap MK4 and keep Gold. They are the exact same game, but Gold had an extra row of charecters.

Instead of MK3 and UMK3 just put in Trilogy. Saves the hassle and the characters would be much clearer.

Leave Special Forces off all together!!!! That game must never see the light of day ever again. Why that game was allowed to be made is beyond me.

Also, as a side note, instead of ports how about updated graphics and a smoother gameplay (ala Trilogy)? Just porting the titles wouldn't really raise my interest, but an overhauled revamp would be awesome.......Wait what am I saying? Midway isn't that smart..........

It would be more hexology rather than sexology.

As much as I like the idea, I don't think it would be a reality. There are way too many characters to add to the currently line up to give moves and 3 fighting styles.

If they did do it, it would put MK7 off for quite a while. Unless this game would be MK7 itselt which would make more sense.
