I would love to play this game more often, but the online experience is so bad it has turned me off. I cannot connect to any match, no matter how long I am waiting for. When I first got the game, this wasn't much of an issue. But I have found that it has progressively gotten worse for me.

I can play other games online fine, except for MKX. I forget when was the last time I played someone online ;\

Am I the only one with this problem?
Online is alright for me.

I still play but at the moment I just try out characters and hit the Towers.

Nope, the last time I tried to play a match online I couldn't and that was a little over two months ago. You play on Xbox right? Apparently the experience is better on the Playstation.

It is.

Before I bought PS Plus, I tried out the online many times on a friend's Xbox. It NEVER fully connected to a KOTH room and when I did manage to get past the "Looking For Opponent", once I got into the room it froze.

Haven't had any of that happen on PS except maybe once. Sometimes it takes a bit, especially for a KOTH, but it's not unbearable like that Xbox experience.

Can't say I've ever had any issues finding a match and connecting. At later hours it may take a bit longer due to not as many people online but I have never been sitting there for a good chunk of time without finding a match.

Same here. I don't why everyone else is having these troubles. When I got the game I was able to find matches all of the time with maybe one stutter during a fight. I haven't lagged out or anything.

Well now, I definitely can't boast on behalf of that lol.

That happens all too frequently, but I'd much rather have a disconnect than being stuck in an underwater match (which has happened a small handful of times).

I barely play MKX at all. I find myself playing MK9 more. My son agrees too that MK9 is more fun.

I played it pretty solid for the first few months, but I feel it doesn't have the longevity of previous MK games. This is due to a lack of conquest type, free roam mode. Once you've completed the story, the only thing really left to do is play towers, which are pretty repetitive. I feel this needs to be addressed in future mk games.
I've been on arkham knight, and a few other titles in the meantime, but hoping kp2 will revive mkx for me.

After one month this game was as dead as could be. If the story would've been good and the stages more diverse with MK's staple music, at least the overall feel would've pulled me back from time to time. Unfortunately, the story, stages & music combined with lack of a great roster + my own personal problem with the variations system and X-Ray keeps me from enjoying it. The game was very exciting at first, but I never felt totally immersed. Just does not have the classic MK feeling for me. It's too clean, too many gimmicks like the drones and stuff, story too focused on generic fans and just a lack of diversity, evil and fantasy. It's all too much of a hollywood movie driven story with the characters fitting into that.

Not sure if this is a thing in the US or tied to a specific console, but I have no problems finding fights online here in Europe on my ps4. It usually takes 5 to 10 seconds max to find a new opponent in ranked (even during unusual hours I find fights though it takes a little longer) and there are always people in the rooms and KOTH. The only thing people don't seem to care about anymore are the team battles but that doesn't bother me since I have secured 3rd place in ranked team battle and it won't change anytime soon lol

I agree, after 3 months of playing this and beating the story mode I burned myself out. I played the towers for the endings and costumes, etc. But I loved this game still, and play it from time to time. One of the best MK after MK II and MK 9 imo. Looking forward to MK 11

I haven't touched the game since about September. I don't even have the enthusiasm to play the new premier towers, even though I know I should.

I'll try the next patch and see what new DLC yet. I've no intention of uninstalling.

A Konquest mode, like Armageddon's action game or Deception's walking simulator, would do nothing to bring longevity to the game. They're great modes that I'd like to see included, but after the few hours you'd take to beat them you wouldn't go back to them.

The meat of the game is the gameplay. It's a fighting game. Fighting games aren't what they're used to be for me since I don't have anybody to fight. Back at home I had my younger brothers and spent afternoons playing MK2 to MKA. Now I'm just at home, beating everything I can do in 1P, then played multiplayer a bunch of time I had people over want and they wanted to see it.

Don't get me wrong, I'd like more 1P modes, and I do enjoy playing versus, but I know the 1P modes wouldn't make the game last that much longer than a few hours.

Mk deception konquest mode was full of secrets, easter eggs, story references, bonuses, etc that was literally infinite. And more of them were added AFTER finishing it for the first time.

Armageddon's one was more linear, but cool and funny nonetheless. I enjoyed it.

In mkx they tried to make the Krypt an adventure game, with all the items allowing to enter new places. But it's small, there is no enemy interaction other than a boring QTE .And you take a portal to the Neterrealm just to see Quan Chi's room? What a bullshit.

I think it's time to take a pause from the fighting gameplay and make another shaolin monks kind of game, maybe a canon one where you play as Revenant Liu Kang, Kung Lao and Kitana. A good way to tie the events with MK11 AND give their fans a consolation prize after their death in mk9 and the lack of a chapter in mkx's story mode.

I put it down soon after Tremor was released and haven't picked it up since. Mainly due to the dead hype of KP2, even still after the announcement comes on Thursday I doubt i'll pick it back up till its released. Mainly I think its due to the lack of diverse character selection to be honest.

I still happily play.

Getting into the game on a competitive level has prolonged and multiplied my enjoyment of it.

I've got a mean, green, ass kicking machine in Reptile and my Imposter is no joke either. So, that said, if anyone ever comes outta retirement and wants to play, shoot me a message.
