Just when you thought it wasn't embarrassing or humiliating to be a Mortal Kombat fan....
They finally get their Tremor, and now the latch on to Khrome. Sad part is, Tremor was more legit of a character than Khrome ever was, but that's not stopping them.

at least Tremor has a interesting story w the Lin Kuei's and Black Dragon.
Anyways, i say it again. I don't mind if the character is made or not by fans, the reason i can't support khrome is because the only "original" idea the fans have is make this stupid palette swap ninja characters.
Again, i think you can make a lot with a character with this power but with Tremor having a metallic variation and seeing this is another lin kuei uninspired character i can't support Khrome.
maybe if he has an original design and history outside the fuckin lin kuei clan i change my mind.

Basically, what Bongality said.
Ermac was fueled by fan speculation because of the term ERMACS found in MK1 and a potential coding glitch that made the ninja costume turn red. Skarlet is almost the same. Fueled by rumors of another coding glitch in MK2 that turned Kitana's outfit red.
What makes those two different is that they stem from things that actually happened IN official Mortal Kombat games whether on purpose or by an accidental glitch or error. Khrome was a mistake by a collectable company, that has no affiliation with the games what-so-ever, and the name and concept itself was created by fanboys. Thus my reasoning that he's never gonna be an official character, it just won't happen because then the team "owes" his creation to that one fanboy who jumped the shark over a fucked up statue.
It's the same reason we're never gonna see someone like Vorpax or Chan Kang in the games. They didn't stem from the games, they came from elsewhere.

Because yet again, whether a rumor or not, it stemmed from something that came from the actual official games. There was NEVER a rumor about a glitch making the costumes turn white or a metallic color. It was never a classic rumor that got picked up in the press or magazines or online. It was a fan-created idea purely because of fucked up memorabilia.
THAT is the difference. They made Skarlet as a throwback to the classic rumors of the Trilogy days. Khrome has no such connection. Even members of the MK team itself hate the idea of Khrome. Hence why I said at this rate Hornbuckle has a better shot at becoming an official character. He stems from the same reasoning where they created Blaze. I don't exactly see why it's so hard to put two and two together here that Khrome will never be an official thing.

Exactly.
And before it gets thrown out again; NO, just because Khrome has a Kombat Kard for April Fools doesn't make him an official thing. That's like them making a Kombat Kard for April Fools 2017 and having a dancing zebra with a tophat on it, that does NOT make Zebron an official thing. It's a joke. That's like saying "Oh my God, Bo Rai Cho is dressed all in green in a Kombat Kard. He MUST be Irish! Retcon alert!"
Or even worse, that's like me starting a rumor that the damn turkey is a playable character from the Thanksgiving kard. Gobbles, coming to a DLC pack near you, because I'm gonna start spreading rumors and make a petition about him. It MUST be official because he's on a Kombat Kard, after all.
Pfft.

As I've said earlier idgaf about Khrome, so if he never happens I won't care. But unless you work at NRS you have no way to say he will NEVER be a thing. Id bet when the MK11 dlc is announced Khrome is in it. If I'm wrong, oh well. I'm not gonna act like I know for a fact the possibility of the character though.

Unfortunately, the fact that they even bothered doing a kombat kard with khrome is probably huge validation in his mind.
Sometimes, the best thing NRS can do is just let this shit die.

my problem with Khrome is not that it is a Fan- Made character, the real problem for me is the lack of imagination of the fans, making this cheap palette swap ninjas (there's a lot of "original ninja" character designs in deviant art and all of them sucks ), try to do something new and interesting at least for fuck sake.
i hope Khrome doesn't appear as a playable in the next game, because if that happen, a lot of retards are going to make petitions for they piece of shit characters being playable in MK.

So, just once and for all, let me get this straight. According to your logic, Khrome is official, Zebron is official, Erron Black fought a turkey, Bo Rai Cho is Irish and Shujinko and Cyrax are dead and have their heads hanging on hooks all because they appeared on Kombat Kards. Correct?
Yeah, gotcha. This is the most idiotic thing I've ever read on this forum. Literally somebody taking things too literal. The NRS team likes to joke around, if you haven't figured that out by now. Jokes are not official, they are jokes. Khrome is not official. Zebron is not official. If MK11 has concept art of Boon's eyebrows morphing into a ninja, that does NOT make it official.
Get over it.

You're not getting it. Official and canon is two different things. You got them confused. Khrome is officially a real Kombat Kard by NRS. Wether that's canon in MK lore or not is a different matter.
Oh, I'm not confusing anything. Khrome is a joke, he is FAR from official anything seeing as he was FAN CREATED. Thus my point again. Just because Erron Black is fighting a fucking turkey in a Kombat Kard doesn't make it official NOR canon NOR anything for that matter as it is A JOKE.
All this coming from someone who wants a fan-created character in MK is hilarious to me. At least the Tremor fans I understood since he WAS an actual MK character created by someone connected with the franchise. This shit is just too hilarious. Seriously, keep it up. How many hits does that petition have now? Did it ever beat 1500? I bet not.

Yup. If they keep with the direction they're going with classic rumors / spin-off characters then they still have;
Nimbus Terrafaux
Hornbuckle
Aqua
Gemini
No-Face
Tasia
Khrome has a LONG line to wait in... IF he ever makes it. Which is a BIG fucking if. Honestly, at least point, I think Tasia is incredibly possible due to her inclusion in the comics.

I really hate to burst your bubble but barely 1000 people isn't exactly "high demand."
