Well he is a revenant now and protect Quan Chi during the story.

After Quan Chi die he decides to help Shinnok.

Funny that even with the deaths of those two he still wants to stay in the Netherealm.

Now he is the ruler supreme.

I know this bud, but did he lose all the skill that he had before?
It makes no since I honestly think Shinnok should have wiped the floor with them, but what do I know?

This was one of my biggest problems in the story. Liu does nothing at all when Shinnok having him under his control should be a huge deal. You could replace Liu with Mokap and it wouldn't even matter. At the end a hurt Takeda and Jacqui hold off Liu, Kung Lao, and Smoke. They should have been dead instantly.

Maybe he never had them

I'm guessing his powers are limited in his Revenant form. Plus I'm sure Quan Chi brought him [and probably the others] back weaker to avoid treachery.

He is technically a bad guy now, which means his skill and overall competence are cut in half lol
