Yeah thats what I'm guessing. There will probably be some kind of in-game currency that you use to unlock characters, costumes etc, but you can have the option to buy the in-game currency with real money.

It's not confirmed yet. And if it were confirmed, I think that microtransactions could be used as an alternative to earning Kurrency and unlock things in the Kryp that way. But as of right now, in this present time, nothing has been confirmed or expanded on in regards to micro transactions.

These stupid micro transactions are killing gaming. Dumb, stupid idea. Sadly it's the future of gaming anyway.

It will be in future games for sure. As for MKX, it is not certain that it will be. For the future games, you will have to buy in-game currency with real money.

I think paying for things you can get later on in the game for free is dumb in my opinion.

I hope that's real. I would MUCH prefer to BUY kharacters like they did in MKDA, and with real money too, like Forza Racing games(my all time favorite racing series), without forcing people to play certain modes they don't like in order to unlock good stuffs. Or, make it an option, so I don't have to play through the story mode that I hate in order to unlock stuff. You know, MORE than one way of unlocking kharacters and what not. I WELCOME this way of unlocking and I pray that they go with this. I may be the only one.

it is true, but in one of the new videos they said that there are some items im game currency can buy, but there are also things only real money can buy. However these micro transaction things are only accessories thay changes appearance or weapons. So it is kinda a tekken? Where you can add a headband to either the orginal or alt and stuff like that.

As long as it's nothing that affects competitive play (like unlocking some crazy new instant-kill move or something that only paid players can use) I don't really see why this is a problem. If people want to buy extra costumes or Krypt Koins, let 'em.

Costumes should all be DLC. But microtransactions are probably going to be somehow online related. But hopefully, they're just Krypt Koins or something. I just hope they don't change it so that Krypt Koins are crazy hard to get or something to encourage microtransactions.

Yup. Ever since the "Next" video came out, the word "confirmed" and a certain infamous Inigo Montoya meme have been clashing in my brain.

It's like when I see people going "FUJIN CONFIRMED!!!! OMGWTFBBQ!!!11!!", and they point to a blurry image on the tower behind a wall of text.

I'm not saying microtransactions won't be in there (although I hope that's not the case... that belongs in mobile games, not consoles), but rather we don't know if it's more than just in-game "kurrency". I'm hoping it's the latter.

I hope the game starts out with only Sub-zero and Scorpion playable. Then you have to grind 500 matches, after each 500nd match you unlock a new character. If you want to unlock them earlier you have to pay a microtransaction for it. Hopefully something like 10$
