I think Mortal Kombat: Redemtion should be a cool name for the next title. The main villian should be Shinnok who is looking for revenge after his lose the earths warriors. This time he is potting to over through the elder gods who banish him with the help of the brotherhood of shadows. There isn't alot to explain where they came from and whats there motive, but they should team up with Shinnok. If you saw the Noob Smoke ending in "Deception" you know that noob Saibot is the Original Sub-zero that was killed by lu kang, so where did the other members of the bortherhood came from. I would also like to see What happened to sub-zero. in his biography it said that he something from his ansectors by a mountain side and in his ending his armor starting speaking to him then he was beating tarkartens in one blow.

here are some returning charaters that should be there
Shinnok
the brotherhood of shadows
subzero
Scorpion
kitana
reptile
lu kang
sector
nightwolf
kung lao
smoke
kabal
ermac
rain
goro
Raidanwow

And why exactly is it called Redemption? Who gets redeemed of sins or anything else significant? Oh and:

-it's Liu Kang, Sektor and Raiden :-/ smile

-the older Sub-Zero was never killed by Liu kang. Liu Kang won't even consider killing an opponent in the first place. That line is borrowed from th first MK movie wich holds no ties -aside from major resemblance- to the games.

-The brotherhood of Shadows consisted of Shinnok, Quan Chi, Noob Sai-bot, and several employed warriors as the ressurected Mileeena (trilogy), Reiko, Baraka, and several others. but as for actual hierarchy, Shinnok and Quan Chi were at the top.

- Redemption can mean more than one thing your defintion is correct but so is mine it also be redemption also means that so someone redeem there status. in this chase shinnok want to redeem his status as a feared fallen eldor god.

- thanks for correcting some of my spelling i worte that early in the morning
- sleep

your right about the how i did get that with the movie and has no tie in with the game. noob smoke ending say that Scorpion did kill the original sub-zero

- I would like to know where you got the information about the brotherhood of shadows

According to MK: Trilogy the Brotherhood of the Shadow was a clan of warriors from the Netherealm who worship Shinnok. In MK: Mythologies, we find out Quan Chi runs the Brotherhood.

Known members include Noob Saibot, Kia, Jataaka, Sareena, Ashrah, Reiko, and possibly Scorpion. Mileena might count because she was reurrected by Shinnok and forced to serve him, but I don't know if she was considered a member.
Baraka only really worked for Shinnok like a mercenary. I don't think he was conisdered a member.

Scorpion, Sareena, and Ashrah abandoned the clan. Reiko's disappeared. Kia and Jataaka haven't been heard from since Mythologies and might be dead. And since Quan Chi betrayed Shinnok the clan's been pretty much disbanded.
It seems though in Deception Noob Saibot's starting to reform it with Smoke and planning on taking control of the Netherealm.

I'm thinking Redemption may have to do with Shujinko, redeming himself in the eyes of the Elder gods. Raiden, Etc.

Read Ashrah's bios. They tell us that she was once one of Quan Chi's assasins, along with Sareena, Kia and the other one (who's name always escapes me).
