MK7 should have a female samurai fighter from Earth realm similar in style to Black Mamba from the Kill Bill movies. Maybe a foxy chick with badass moves and crazy combos. It would be awesome. Just a suggestion. It would be cool though.

Blac mamba was only a swordswoman, not a samurai. A noichi or kuno-ichi, well, thts different, butwe already have ninja onslaught. perhapd Li Mei can be taken towards that direction with her revealing and armored figure.

Mortal Kombat would suck balls without female characters as the stroylines would be stale boring and unrealtic, unless all realms xisted in a completely male only world. I want to see more extravagant characters.

I think female fighters are good, but I don't necessarily know how well a Samurai-ko would fit into the MK world.

Asesino, what do you have against female characters, or is it something against women in general? Just curious.

Personally, I think a female Samurai could be quite a cool character for MK. We already have samurai style characters, they have the look, but neither Hotaru or Dairou really feel right. Most of a samurai's special moves should involve their weapon.

Earthrealm badly needs another female representative, with Sonya having gone stale, imo, and a samurai/swordswoman in traditional kimono style outfit could fit very well in MK.

Shouldn't that have been Li Mei? All they would have to do is drop the sai and give her a new weapon.

There's also a concept character named Siobahn who was a friend of Li Mei. She was supposed to have been in Deadly Alliance. Maybe she could be brought in as a samurai fighter/swordswoman.

Does it matter what realm she would come from?

No female characters, are you nuts. MK would be a sausage fest.

As for a female samurai character, i could tolerate it, if it was done well. I though Hotaru would play the role of cool samurai character and he fell on his ass. Personally i think MK needs more girls in non-skimpy outfits, which means armor would be great. But dont get me wrong ive got no problem with skimpily clad women, that why i play DOAgrin

Li Mei is a Chinese name, and Samurai are Japanese, so that might bother me a little. A samurai-ko could be a nice addition, it just isn't the direction I would go first. I think Khameleon needs to make a comeback, so we have at least one Saurian who hasn't been a loser since MK4.

Li Mei's from outworld though so she's not really of any race.

I love female fighters and i love samurai's so it sound like a cool concept. In my upcoming MK7 thread i have a kinda Lady Snowblood type character...

Lei Mei is indeed japanese. Li, however is not. You may be right though, that they were putting an outworld twist on the name, or something like that.
