Friday the 13th Horror Icon Jason Joins MKX as DLC Guest Fighter

Notorious Crystal Lake killer Jason Voorhees is stalking the next generation of young fighters in Mortal Kombat X! The unstoppable slasher features in a new trailer - available via The Kombat Pack tomorrow!

The drowning boy turned supernatural killer is the first of two guest fighters coming to Mortal Kombat X DLC. Fans who purchase The Kombat Pack will also gain early access to Predator of the popular film franchise.

Fans who don't purchase the four-character DLC pack will be able to buy fighters individually. Jason is slated to be widely available via online stores starting May 12th [full details].

Kratos was a let down for me tbh. I like Kratos but I feel like he was too slow and clunky in MK9, idk after playing all the GOW games I just assumed he would play a certain way, and he didn't lol but that's on me for expecting him to play a certain way to begin with.

He would have been better in this game imo, the gameplay seems faster and more fluid which I think would have done Kratos more justice than MK9 did.

he's also available on europe on ps4. For some lucky people atleast. I download him and the horror pack and can only use the horror pack. Jason has his mode, brutalites and fatalities available to watch in the character viewer. Can't see him on the select screen though. Simply doesn't show up....

Thanks for the heads up. For those having trouble, just hold the button that takes you to manage games and it'll come up along the side as ready to install. Got both him and the costumes downloaded in 30 seconds flat.

Some quick combos with jason: Jason combos

Spent over 20 mins attempting this combo, and I'm giving up for the night on it: 2, 4 -> f4, 2 -> 3, 2, U1 - EX blodshed

Seems like it could work, but I'm having trouble getting enough recovery to perform the EX bloodshed.

Jason seems pretty decent IMO. He has some good low/overhead mix-ups and juggle potential.
