MKX DLC: Kombat Kast Spotlights Alien - Today

Alien to feature on Developer Live Stream

In space no one can hear you scream, but scream you will when Alien arrives as part of Kombat Pack 2! In the next Kombat Kast, the developers will turn the spotlight on their fourth and final guest fighter. It goes live today (Thursday 25th) at 4:00CST streaming below:

The Xenomorph alien comes to Mortal Kombat X through a Tarkatan host, granting it new genetic traits including jagged teeth and retractable blades! It's a unique take on the classic movie monster, which will do kombat with franchise nemesis Predator, Jason Voorhees, Leatherface and the cast of Mortal Kombat XL, including Bo' Rai Cho and Tri-Borg! The possibility of the Alien making the crossover first solidified in speculation late last year.

Aren't the blades the only Tarkatan feature? Too bad Alien has such a weird body structure, the shredder move where he stabs multiple times very rapidly just looks off. It looks like the whole body is just made of sharp metal and attacking the opponent.

They saved Alien for last. Not surprising since it is probably the biggest draw of the whole pack. I hope they added some nods to the movies like they did with Predator.

Guy playing on Twitch with an early copy can't preform any of the Stage Fatalities except the Pit.

He's either a liar

Not trying the inputs in the correct place

Not preforming them on purpose to build hype and add subscribers

I think there will be a day one patch that unlocks them.

I'm hyped as hell for todays stream. More for the Stage fatalities then Alien

They confirmed it during the Leatherface stream then forgot to show them during Bo' Rai Cho's stream. And no, the kraken fatality on The Kove wasn't photoshopped.

The blades are not out all the time in Tarkatan, very disappointed. It just looks weird, the blades only work during moves and he moves so fast, you cannot really feel the impact of the bladed. Would've really loved them to be out all the time. That being said, Alien looks better than I thought. He's so fast and has a lot of sick moves.

Love the Konjuror variation but I don't have the patience for trap game. Aliens X-ray and Fatality were lovely and I enjoyed the Kamp Refugee stage fatality too. Roll on March 1st.

Not bad. I can't say I'm really over the moon on this one. Not a huge Alien fan. The traps and mix ups are mighty strong with this one, though. Crazy stuff. I also like how they approached the tail as a fifth limb...ahhhh, the reach on that jump punch. Fuck.

Also, there is now zero excuses that Reptile can't completely devolve, MKDA style, next game.

And Boon on the birthday shoutouts! Happy Birthday!

If and only if it's an alternate! Not trying to see that as a theme throughout all of his costumes.

Lol this was the first year I realized Boon has the exact same birthday as my best friend.

As for Alien overall, he's actually proven to be the guest I'm most interested in. Once I get bored of Bo then Triborg (which will take a long while), I'll be picking him up. Really liked all of his finishers that they showed. Oh, and that Refugee Camp stage fatality was the bee's knees. That stage had become dull as hell, so it needed it lol.

If it's just a costume, Reptile wouldn't be able to use his tail for moves.

Some of Alien's tail gameplay reminded me of Frieza...
