It's because they decided to work on him instead of Fujin, isn't it?

No, one variation doesn't equal the work it'd take on a full character. It just makes even the character's name now redundant. It's dumb. Sure, it's great for people who get another variation to play. But now even the name is meaningless because he isn't 3 cyborgs in 1, he's 4.

Nice to see most of his moves back. I wish he still had the parry though. Also would have liked to see them implement the Ice Shower since they didn't give it to Sub-Zero in any of his variations for some reason.

Seriously, there's no point. It's like re-naming Goro "Mister Four Arms" but he only has three. Like what the fuck?

I mean if it's the surprise element they wanted to keep, okay.....then fucking call him something other than Triborg. lol It's really not that difficult.

Am I the only one underwhelmed by Triborg? He looked like just a redesigned MK9 Cyrax and Sektor with a few new moves each, and MK9 Smoke with his old harpoon. Plus Cyber Sub Zero, who I thought was pretty much universally hated. Also, heinous fatality. Think I'll be saving five bucks.

I think you're taking the name thing a bit too far seeing how we don't even know if the whole Cyber Sub-Zero variation is even a legit thing.

So, until then, his name is Triborg, he has three variations. Cyber Sub-Zero may only be in here as a joke, seeing how we're dealing with a team who's head creator is a known dumb troll.

Wait....WHAT? 4 variations?a10;#WTF #MKXProLeague

That's all the confirmation I need on the subject. I doubt they'd waste the man-hours re-skinning a model and making an in-game move set for a 10 second joke.

That's just the quick menu. It doesn't necessarily tell you everything.

I'm a little less disappointed about Leatherface now that Triborg has proven to be four characters in one. Still seems like a missed opportunity to add someone better, but at least LF doesn't represent a full 25% of the character content.

And the re-skin and the moves in-game that no one else has that they wouldn't make for a 10 second joke. But yeah, ignore all that. Sure. lol So as I said, Triborg as a name = pointless and redundant.

Lol Cyber Sub Zero is most definitely a fourth variation. How's there even a debate going on here?

That argument applies to virtually every returning character on the roster. "It's just a redesigned MK9 _____, but with more moves." YEAH. Redesigning the characters and giving them new moves was the point. I think Sonya was the only one who got a seriously drastic change to what she could do.

Sigh, it just isn't a KP2 related thread till we're all slinging shit at each other, is it?

Anyway. I've never been much of a cyber ninja fan(other than Smoke), but Tri-borg just oozes fucking style. And watching Ketchup and Mustard show them off absolutely sold me on them. Holy hell. Wish Smoke would've gotten a little more screen time, but, I suppose the short end of the stick is something most Smoke fans know well, ha-ha.

And anyone who hates that fatality is too smug for their own good. MEAT CUBE!

Hardly. Aside from the newly playable 9 characters and the old ones like Tanya and Shinnok, many characters play radically different from 9. Jax, Raiden, and Liu Kang come to mind off hand. Not to mention the variation system.

Im very happy with Cyber Sub-Zero, since I found him much cooler to play as that actual Sub-Zero in MK9, and I can deal with fact that only I and handful other people liked him just like I can deal with fact that there are people that are happy that Bo will be in KP2 and Im happy for them.

The fatality was over-the-top and a bit ridiculous but hype and fun at the same time.

As for the character itself, it has my seal of approval. They did a really good job incorporating the cyborgs into the game and making them look cool while updating everything we knew and loved from MK9.

The only thing that bugs me is the name. However, given that's a trivial complaint, I'll be happy to add him to my roster.

Kind of has me wondering if they are going to shove some other curveballs in the KP2. Go out with a bang. I thnk they just went crazy for this last pack. Fatality was more like one of those comic fatalies form the MK3 era.
