Considering I did actually know the roster and the DLC before anyone else here, that's one point for me and zero for you since you're still being just as rude and condescending as I pointed out. But hey, since I'm feeling nice this morning I'll give ya a D just for trying to insult me. If you disagree with his list, there are alternatives like posting your own list since you apparently know better or you know, giving debatable reasons as to why you disagree, not just posting a comment that makes you come off looking like a giant dick. If you don't wanna get called out for it then perhaps stop acting like that towards people who are only trying to make conversation or is that asking too much of you?

Now to get back on topic; Story changes.....
- 16 Story Chapters as opposed to 12.
- The Story Mode would've heavily utilized the apparent ability of bringing in previous character builds from MK2011 in order to flesh the story out more and give more variety rather than fighting the same characters over and over from the initial core roster.
- Chapter 2 (Kotal Kahn) would be revealed to take place in Li Mei's village. Mileena does actual destruction with the amulet during the ambush on Kotal Kahn. We're shown Li Mei fighting off Tarkatans and leading villagers to safety in between several of the Kotal Kahn fights.
- Sub-Zero's chapter would've skipped fighting one of the kids in favor of a flashback that shows Sub-Zero reclaiming the Lin Kuei and fighting Sektor (NPC fight).
- Extra chapters would include chapters for Kenshi, Liu Kang, Mileena and Fujin.
- Kenshi chapter would've been a contained flashback dealing with Scorpion, as well as his trek into the Netherrealm with Jax. Enemies fought would include Scorpion, Kitana, Kabal (NPC fight) and Smoke (NPC fight).
- Liu Kang chapter would be a perspective on the revenants attacking the Earthrealmers in the Netherrealm. Enemies fought would include Jax, Kenshi, Sareena (NPC fight) and Fujin.
- Mileena chapter would've been a flashback to her being broken out of prison by Tanya and Rain. Enemies fought would include Ferra/Torr, Reptile, Erron Black and Ermac.
- Fujin chapter would've dealt with the final stand in the Netherrealm before the revenants plan to storm the Jensei. Enemies fought would include Nightwolf (NPC fight) and Liu Kang. Then transitions into a flashback showing one of Fujin and Raiden's earliest encounters with Quan Chi and Shinnok, fighting them both.

I wouldn't change the roster, only expand on it.

I'd push the release date back to September, so they could put Fujin, Rain, and Tanya in the launch roster since they should've been in from the get go. Then for DLC you could have your Li Mei, Baraka, Sareena, Havik, and whatever else you want.

Story wise, I wouldn't really change anything. I'd just not have Fujin disappear for no reason.

I would have Fujin definitely in the story more like in the final battle helping Raiden against Shinnok and on the roster so I hope he's in KP2. I would not go e Liu,Lao or Kitana. Living skins. I'll agree Bo should have trained the new kids

Story - Add 4 - 6 new chapters, many of which jump backward in time. I wrote up Sub-Zero and Scorpion ideas in a similar thread several months back.

I would have put Rain, Fujin, Tanya and Li Mei in the main roster instead of Kitana, Liu Kang, Kung Lao and Jax. I'd have put Kitana as the pre-order bonus instead of Goro, and she would have a replacement variation for mournful.

The Kombat pack would not have guest characters , and would be made up of two classic returning characters and two 3D era characters to appease everyone.

In terms of story I would have given chapters to all the new additions I made, with Li Mei and Fujin joining the SF on their journey. I'd also give Mileena a chapter and make her seem less incompetent and more of a threat.
I would give the revenants a little bit more screen time, and Jade would be alongside them, not inexplicably missing, with the story actually acknowledging the desire to save the rest of them.

Roster would remain EXACTLY the same only with the default additions of-

Narratively- These four should have been in from the jump and Mileena definitely needed some playable allies! So those four would've been added to the default roster.

Then Li Mei and Bo'Rai'Cho would've been the two juicy red cherries on top when released as DLC. So the six story mode characters I'd wanted would all be playable.

I'd rebuild the entire story from scratch. The whole thing was pretty awful.

But if it was to be minor tweaks I'd make Sub-Zero the character to defeat Corrupted Shinnok. Not particularly because I like Kuai Liang so much, but because he's much better suited for the protagonist role than Cassie or Johnny.

Change Smoke's line to "I am AN Enenra".

Have Kung Jin fight D'Vorah instead of Kotal Kahn. The emperor got his ass beat by an Earthrealmer and people just accept it?!

Remove that ridiculous scene where Sonya kicks Quan Chi in the nuts and the revenants magically turn back into themselves again, even though it just clearly showed revenant Johnny as a completely separate entity to Johnny himself.

That cloaking device that Kano was using at the Special Forces made him look like a woman. Fine I guess. But also made him 2 feet shorter?!

Replace Jax with Fujin as the guy who leads the attack on Quan Chi and the revenants in the Netherrealm.

Remove that dumb flashback with Raiden, Kung Lao and Liu Kang. That didn't even make any chronological sense.

Have D'Vorah actually murder Johnny with her maggot kiss or ovipositors as she was clearly quite capable of doing so.

Not have the revenants run away after Shinnok got defeated. Like wtf? The teeny boppers were all injured and exhausted.

I could go on forever but yeah, story was a huge let down for me.

I think more people think Cassie and Jacqui are worse than Ferra/Torr. Despite have obvious influences from Master Blaster, Ferra/Torr is easily one the most unique additions to the MK roster ever.

As some other people have stated they could have had Ferra/Torr working for Shinnok and have had them as the sub-boss.

I'd say they/she/he/it are split in between the worst utilized yet one of the best designed. It's so odd.

Cassie only seems to be popular from a gameplay stance. I know a lot of players use her online. Character wise she's the absolute worst. It's the opposite for Ferra/Torr. Most people dislike their gameplay yet find Ferra to be adorable.

*shrug* I like Ferra/Torr anyways. I think they're a wonderful addition to the weird, whacky and wonderful world of Mortal Kombat. Cassie and Jacqui on the other hand...

Everyone I know loves her snarkiness. Can't speak for anyone I don't know, but her usage would seem to indicate she's worked out alright.

I love her story and attitude! I think she is hilarious

For MKX I wouldn't have had any of the kids playable. They should've been cameos for this game and made playable in 11. With that I wouldn't have had any of the revenants return from the dead besides Sub-Zero but some would still be playable.

The game should have done more then glossed over the Neatherrealm war.

Love this, what a beautiful mixture and balance of classic characters AND 3D era characters. I love it. And yes at Blood God boss Reiko! Though I'd might replace Sindel as DLC with Frost. But great roster!
