did you hear when they did the stage fatality on the stream they mention there could be more. what does that mean? different variations on this stage, or actually other stages having something happen.

more hidden stage brutalities.

I'm sure they finally turned the Kuatan Jungle crocodiles into a stage brutality.

I doubt they added a whole new input in the moveset of each character just for one stage Fatality.

I can see more of them coming, every stage has a demon, animal, hazard that could be turned into a Fatality.

Between now and KP2's release, I'll be grinding for hidden brutalities. There's a few that I really believe have something more to them. They're just too simple. I feel like Reptile has got something more with his Heart Attack brutality. Also think there may be more to Shinnok's throw brutality.

Anywho point is, when the time comes, would you mind bumping your secret brutality list thread? I can already foresee 8 more being created upon KP2 release and it'd just be nice to keep it accessible in one collective place. Also don't think it a bad idea to have it stickied.

After MK9's terrible lava stage fatality, and after seeing fighters melt multiple times via death traps in MKD and MKA, I can do without lava fatalities lol.

Impalement though? Never gets old. For me at least. Kinda sucks though that the impalements have gotten weaker since MK9. Remember in MKD when someone would fall on a spike it sounded like a hard impact. And it was brutal. Especially if they struggled.

While still visually stunning, neither MK9 or MKX provides the same effect for me. Just doesn't seem as brutal. But I guess realism is the forte for this game so wut ya gun do?

I thought it was the worst of the bunch lol.

It just stuck me as silly. Why not just uppercut them into the lava MK3 style? Or at least shove them all the way in afterwards instead of just stomping on their head.

Oh well. Different strokes and all that jazz.

I wish they would just add a bunch of stages from MK 9. I don't even care if their copy and pasted. It would be cool to have more stage fatalities and stages period since for lacking so many

The Kove already has 2 stage brutalities. And before someone says "FATALITIES, not Brutalities" there is barely any difference here, like there would be for character specific Brutalities. other than how they are traditionally triggered. And in the case of the Kove, I can't even imagine what else they could put on there - you already have an uppercut into the water, and a "body explosion" caused by throwing a body at the opponent.

I definitely think there are enough differences to warrant stage fatalities vs stage brutalities.

I don't see it for the Kove; but other stages like Kuatan Jungle, Emperor's Courtyard, or Quan Chi's Fortress a stage FATALITY sequence could absolutely work.

I agree. Fatalities are, of course, far more cinematic, whereas Brutalities are, as the namesake suggests, sudden and brutal. Kuatan Jungle, rather than being a stage brutality, could easily be a stage fatality featuring the crocodiles. Heck, maybe a Brutality with the snake too.

As for Quan Chi's fortress, two definite possibilities - the revenant Kahn, and the beast that appears to be trapped under a door all the way on the left side of the level.

I'm actually still pretty surprised there isn't one for the Refugee Camp. For weeks, I was trying to time it just right...remember the tank with the mini-gun from injustice? You tap the interaction button when the opponent is in mid-air, and it opens fire. I was convinced that it would be a stage brutality in a similar sense. Maybe they'll add it.

I can easily see one in the krossroads stage knocking them into the lava and burning their skin leaving a skull at the top of it and possibly one in the sky temple knocking or tossing them into a tornado would be awesome. I imagine that in sub-zero's stage you uppercut the opponent onto ice spikes and the opponent gets frozen. Also in the Deadwoods you could throw your opponent into a wolf's mouth. Those would be awesome. I sure hope to see animals in these fatalities. Maybe Crocodiles in the Kuatan Jungle. A shark in the Kove. The list can go on and on to be honest with you. The only idea that I can think of for the training room is throwing someone into the screen. Destroyed City A big giant flying bat creature catches your opponent in the air and eats them and leaves a few body parts on the ground and the wild dogs there eats the rest of the body parts. Jinsei Chamber the opponent can be thrown into the Chamber and all of the opponents skin melts away leaving only a melted body inside of it. Outworld Market place the lion can eat the opponent after being uppercut in the air. As for the Refugee Camp after being tossed in front of the soldiers I'll just guess maybe the soldiers will fire on the opponent and then pull your opponent into the vortex and then we later see them throwing the body parts back out so we can see them. I am mind blown that we are getting more stage fatalities. I like to see more of your awesome ideas guys.wink

I do confess - I find it VERY interesting that they are adding a stage fatality input. It's interesting because...WHY would they do that for ONE stage? Why not just have an uppercut function as the finisher, or holding the stance change button while doing an uppercut like the Kove? Why add it...unless there was MORE than one?

they prob are mad for not having them in the first place. the fans have spoken . Its not a mortal kombat game without them. they learned their lesson when they didn't finish the acid bath stage fatality on deadly alliance, then they had them in deception. Like it was stated in the making of video. they just ran out of time. that would of been nice to have . But hopefully when the game dlc is released we shall all go forth and find the goodies. (could be the reason no pc upgrade. so nobody can hack the files and find them)

No PC upgrade is because NRS didn't make the PC version, it was outsourced to a completely different company, which is why MKX on PC sucked so bad. WB shit canned that dev, and this is why there is no XL or updates for the PC version.

Well going by the Pit, I wouldn't mind if they are not in at all. Such a wasted opportunity of a good fatality. There's no loud screaming, the sound like in MK2 when it was done, no blood splatter, no agony and I liked it when they showed the body going deeper into the spikes. Ow well, maybe next game.

I agree. The impact is lackluster. Even if it's still aesthetically beautiful.
