So damn fucking awesome! JRF you are correct sir, I won't apologize for doubting u since people are rarely ever telling the truth, but you have earned my trust.

I AM SO DAMN HAPPY with this game. 2d, dark, gritty, brutal, and classic fighters. It looks to be the best one yet, at least when it comes to the 3D versions.

So, after watching that awesome bit of video...I gotta wonder. Reboot or one-off?

Wow, not at all what i was really expecting. But I'm not disappointed! Reptile is looking awesome. Sektor and Cage are welcome surprises, as long as Cage's story is improved upon. Good to see Mileena too. Its a interesting cast for a reveal, not really focusing on the "famous" Mk characters right away like MKvsDC did.

Only thing i'm really annoyed with is Sub Zero having the same mask as he did in the last game. Hopefully its placeholder.

Well if you read Ed's short interview in one of the other new threads...he clearly makes it seem like this is the new MK and they are sticking with this forumla. So IMO its gotta be a reboot, but not the reboot we were thinking. Instead its just a reboot as in taking it back to the old classic style and just focusing on the characters we all love and the dark violent nature of the past.

Sweet! Although my dream MK would be proper 3D, this does look pretty awesome! I like the aesthetic of this one a lot somehow. Also good to see Kira in it. And looking good!

Bah, I just noticed the 2011 thing. Bah-humbug.

That's the only bad thing, but thats even good. 2011 gives time for more polish, less bugs, less shitty mechanics. Gives the time to make it perfect instead of having to rush the game out like what they used to do.

Despite it being a reboot, if I can get Smoke in this game, my beautiful, beautiful Smoke... it will be worth.

Just some things ive noticed in the trailer. Living forest is back, a level on top of a sky scraper with flaming buildings in the background, Mileena looks slutty, an impressively huge crowd is featured in Shao Kahn's arena, Kira is tied up in Kahns arena, Looks like Shang Tsung is in the background of the stage where Mileena is fighting SubZero, and everyone seems to have alot of there classic moves, in line with MKvsDC. Oh yeah, one last thing. Reptile sounds like a total badass. Just check out when he uppercuts Johnny Cage towards the end of the trailer.

It does make me happy that no longer will I have to chase a noobish opponent because they can just sidestep everything I attempt combo-wise. Gonna love dishin' out some ass-kickin' again. Just get my boy Kabal in there (hopefully since no Kenshi or MK4-later characters apparently) and I'll be set.

Also, do I spot Kano fighting on another bridge in the background?

There were actually a lot of characters shown in the trailer...more than we usually get at once. So I would assume that means theres gonna be quite a lot of characters in the full game, most likely in the range of 30.
