I really think that the NRS team is big enough to work on Injustice II and MK 11 at the same time. Releasing them every other year rather than every 3-4 years.

Would you be happy if NRS announced at E3 that MKX is going to be a platform and they plan to just add to MKX. Would you be ok with MKX being a platform similar to Killer Instinct with seasons?

Like many of you I believe that MKX is the greatest fighting game ever made. the engine works great why not just build off of it?

Let say everyone from MKX is returning(for licensing reasons Predator, Letherface, Alien & Jason would only be on your select screen if you already own them) and NRS is adding a row to the Kharacter Select Screen 13 with 4 DLC spots for a total of 17

10 Returning and 3 New I picked Kharacter that fit the Storyline

10 of the following
Havik
Sareena
Li Mei
Skarlet
Fujin
Taven In several MKX Endings
Deagon In several MKX Endings
Nitara
Frost
Noob
Human Smoke
Rieko
Models are done why not
Baraka
Rain
Sindel
NEW Male Evil
NEW Female Evil
NEW Male Good

4 DLC Boss Pack Would Sell really well!

Shao Kahn as a regular Kharacter on a quest to regain his Throne
Shang Tsung back for revenge
Blaze Smaller super fast version
Guest you know that were going to have one why not Medusa

Add a few new modes

Tag Team - Not very many used it in MK9
Weapon Kombat - Stage weapons
Sudden Death - Stage Weapon Drops in during the 3rd Round to sway the Battle

Add 12 Chapters to Story Mode that tell the Deadly Alliance story with a twist. it's now Liu Kang & Kitana also Taven & Shujinkos Quests

Sub Boss Dark Raiden
Boss Deadly Alliance Liu Kang & Kitana

14 More Arena (Most lacking part of MKX)
7 Klassic
Deadpool
Hell
Subway
Goro's Lair
Armory
Neathership
Living Forrest

7 NEW

Add 2 NEW Klans

Would you buy it or do you want a whole new engine and wait 3-4 years?

I would a new one with a better engine, hopefully Unreal Engine 4, and see what they could come up with story and gameplay wise. I do not like constantly upgrading the same product. It slows down progress.

Someone here pointed they have contract to use unreal engine 3 few more mouths, so they have to move on UE4. I don't know if it's possible to update the game with different engine.

I'd be fine with MKX as a platform if WB Games would at least give us Kombat Pack 2 on PC.

Provided that NRS allow me to actually purchase more content, I'd love to see yearly updates.

KP3 should have Li Mei and Fujin as long with two guests (Hoping for Robocop and Wolverine) and a patch for three new free fighters (Rain, Sindel and Baraka). That's what I want.

But first they need to no abandon platforms. I'd be hesitant to buy Injustice 2 because I don't want NRS to cut off support for me. If even new netcode is unavailable for me in MKX, who's to say that Injustice 2 won't snub me in even worse ways. I'm a paying and loyal customer and I don't want to see NRS actively and openly choose to treat my platform of choice as an afterthought.

Not even close. Best MK gameplay wise yes. But best FG of all time? Nah.

That said, no I'd rather just have a new game. Nothing can save MKX for me at this point. I just want a fresh start for MK.

Yeah I would, but I won't lie and pretend I can't wait to see an MK made on Unreal 4 so maybe they can do that with the next MK game or something

I'm sorry, but that list is unrealistic as fuck. I could see them possibly continuing support for MKX, but with the MK:XL announcement, it's looking unlikely. If KP2/XL sells well I think it's possible that we could get a few more characters and maybe some skins, but what you're asking for will never happen. That being said, I would like if they would continue support for MKX while simultaneously working on the next game, whether it be IGAU 2 or MK11.

I would prefer to see a completely standalone MKXI built from the ground up, BUT utilizing MKX as a basis...so in effect, wiping the MKX slate clean and building MKXI off it. That's basically what they did with Deception - they took Deadly Alliance, wiped the slate clean, implemented some better programming, and used it to springboard off into a much better game.

I don't think they will do that with MKXI, however. I believe Ed and NRS have stated that they will be moving to Unreal 4, which means the next game will have to be built entirely from the ground up. I do believe you are correct in that NRS is big enough to split their teams to work on both franchises at once, so I wouldn't be surprised to see an MKXI announcement within 6 - 8 months of an Injustice 2 announcement (which I am positive will be dropping with MKXL...just wait!).

Let your souls rest in peace, MK 11 is never going to happen before 2018/19.
Ed Boon made it clear that he wanted to work on something different, rather than just MK and Injustice. If we are lucky, we are going to have a web-series, a coimic book second season and, take it with a huge grain of salt, another 1 or 2 characters like Zatanna and Martian Manhunter.

Not only they have to show and release Injustice 2, but they have to give it post-launch support with DLCs and other stuff.

wiped the slate clean?..Deception better game??!?!?..Fuckin lol,Deception is built on the same engine as DA and is a broken piece of shit,Armageddon, lol, another broken game with infinites discovered the same day the game was released, good point is MKDA is the best out of the 3,being the less broken and most balanced.

On topic,Unreal Engine 4/2019 release date.

You usually write very intelligent things and make constructive criticism.
But this post of yours needs to be forgotten for the sake of the coming generations.

Deception was agood/decent game when it came out. Now is just an unplayable piece of garbage.
Even if they would work on both MK and Injustice simultaneously I think there would still be a gap between the releases of each game.
They wouldn't want the games to eat each other up. One would have to run its course first.

But nobody wants Injustice! I personally like only MK and I hate INJ. Why would you all assume they would be doing a sequel game ? I don't believe.

Injustice sold imcredibly well to general audience, but sell poorly in comparison to MK X.

I don't know, I'd rather have a Injustice 2 than Mk vs Dc 2.

Thank you for the compliment sandwich, lol.

I HATED the 3d generation, DA was the biggest disappointment of all time to me. Deception, I felt...although broken, you are correct...was a better game if only because they incorporated more fatalities, characters and introduced a few new elements. Armageddon...I just hated Armageddon period.

So I wasn't really complimenting it so much...I still don't like the 3D gen, but Deception is the only game out of those that I at least enjoyed for a little while.

Calm the f*ck down. As stated in previous posting, I absolutely hated the 3D generation. Deception was better in many aspects, but no 3d era game was what I would consider to be good. They were all broken in some way, and I hated Armageddon the most.

No, simple because NRS has already made too many mistakes and went a bit over the top with this game in some areas. Maybe with the new engine, they will get some of their true creativity and MK feeling back and make the best possible game they can. I truly hope this is like Deadly Alliance, because Deception was indeed the only games in its era (PS2 / 3D) that nailed most of the roster, MK feeling, good story, only the variations and fighting engine sucked. Since NRS has almost perfected this with MKX, I feel the next installment might finally be the perfect MK game! It will indeed take about 4-5 years, which sucks but hey, let's hope they put in the work this time to at least start off with more arenas, better and longer story mode and more characters. I honestly think we will not hear anything until 2019, the game released in 2020.

I`d be happy if WB would not be scamming me. I hope they spent my money on that sweet new netcode I won`t get.

This game was a hit and miss for me, it did fantastic in some aspects but in others it wet too far into bad territory, I wish the next game to be stand alone, even if it takes a couple of years, hopefully with a new fresh start and a new perceptive on style and substance.

You could say the same about every other game. Even Tekken 3, which is the best fighting game ever made, at least from my perspective, had, in my opinion, awful character and stage design.

And no God, please, not another restart/reboot/new timeline/rewritten story.
It is time to go on, I want to see new stories.

Liu Kang and Kitana as the equivalent of One Earth Superman and Wonder Woman is a good start.

You didn't say favorite you said greatest. Greatest implies best. If MKX is your favorite fighting game of all time, that's great. But there is a difference between favorite and greatest.

As for my favorite, I couldn't tell you. It's between MK9, Third Strike, and Tekken 4.

I'd love to know why you love Tekken 4 so much. That, for me, is easily the single worst Tekken installment ever. The only good thing in that game was Yoshimitsu's beetle design.

But yeah, Third Strike rules. Easily one of the GOATs
