I posted this in Deception forum's "Now that Onaga is dead..." thread, and I thought it would be good to discuss here in the proper forum.

Onaga may still be alive. Why do people assume Defeated means dead?
MK 7 may end up as an all out war between Onaga, and Shao Kahn, with the armies being split between the followers of Onaga, and those still loyal to Kahn. The Earthrealm warriors would be caught in the middle, with the evil ones choosing sides.

Kabal, and Kira may join Kahn(who imo was resurrected by Havik), while Kobra, feeling betrayed by Kabal, and angered by Kira almost killing him joins Onaga. Onaga, being defeated, means he may have posessed a new body, freeing Reptile to possibly side with Kahn again(angered by his posession by Onaga), and have his sanity returned.

That's what I just got to thinking. What do you think of it?

I'm sorry if this sounds harsh, I don't mean to be. But there are a couple of holes in your theory.

With the Gamecube MKD release, we now know that Shao Kahn survived the Deadly Alliance's attack, and that a double was killed. Havik cannot resurrect somebody who is still alive. It now looks very unlikely that Havik's ending happened at all, I don't see him going through all that trouble to bring back a nameless stunt double.

IF we were to not count Kahn's GC return, the theory still falls flat. Let's for now imagine that they, for some reason later decide that Kahn DID die and was resurrected by Havik, like his ending. For this to happen, Onaga would himself need to be dead, as it is the Dragon King's heart that holds the power to bring back the dead.

Either way, the idea doesn't really work. And imo, Kobra was a waste of space, who should never stink up another MK. Don't let this put you off posting any ideas in the future though.

Sub-Zero could find out the true identity of the mysterious Noob Saibot who is no doubt his older brother. Sub-Zero would be conflicted in dealing with his older brother who is now a wraith out for his blood. Sub-Zero still has compasion for his deceased brother and would not want to vanquish him back to the pits of the Netherealm. Instead he would attempt to bring out the human in Noob Saibot and restore the wraith into the former man he once was.

However Scorpion would return from the Elder Gods with his vendetta still burning strong within him. Scorpion would want to send the foul creature that he created back to the Nethrealm for good on behalf of the Elder Gods and for his own personal reasons. However, the current Sub-Zero would intervene with Scorpion's plans and there would be a showdown between the three. Each on their own side fighting for their own causes.

Noob Saibot who is now free to act on his own will would wish to become the new succesor of the Netherealm and take Shinnok's place. Noob Saibot would have his own twisted plans with or without the aid of Smoke. Noob Saibot would go through the realms on a quest for obtaining much power and influence over warriors and create the ultimate army. Noob Saibot would most definatley be an advocate of chaos that would bind into the whole "One Being" storyline in not obtaining order in the realms. Thus tying in every characters story in one direction together in the game.

Characters such as Sareena and Smoke would also be included in this portion of the story for MK7 due to the fact that they are very much tied into Sub-Zero's story and Noob Saibot's. They will be the characters who if joining the ranks of these 3 pivotal characters would strengthen the character's chance of success.

I think it would be cool if the elder gods gave Scorpion his life back as a reward for serving them, but his evil would not be destroyed. instead, it would become a super Scorpion 10 times the bad ass Scorpion ever was. the same could happen to Noob Saibot, be it by Scorpion's wish to form peace between the two, or Shinnok to gain Super Noob's aid. Sareena could be caught between loving the older Sub-Zero or Super Noob, both being the same entity. she is torn between the choice of good and evil. only love will guide her to her destiny.
