Yes he's "dead", but Nightwolf still can have a decendant to replace him.

We already have Cassie and (presumably) Kotal. No need to really turn this into MK: The Next Generation with virtual copies of old characters.

Kotal is not Shao's son, but he may be a cousin or brother. I doubt it though, because "Kahn" is just a name for being ruler.

It's been confirmed that Kotal is of no relation to Shao Kahn whatsoever. And even if Kotal was Shao Kahn's descendent, they share no moves at all. Which is my point, just because you're a character's descendent that doesn't mean you HAVE to play like them.

No, unless he saves someone like Kitana from the Netherrealm or if Nightwolf sacrifices himself to revive and purify his murderer in an act of forgiveness.

In short he has to be a significant part of the MKX storyline, where he damns himself to protect others thereby granting his family visions and reasons to intervene.

Nightwolf is one of the rares that I actually wouldn't mind seeing a descendant. Especially to learn more about his tribe and ancestry.

As long as it's a Native American woman, I'm all for it. Not that she has to be Nightwolf's daughter, I just wouldn't mind. Either way, she needs to have a significantly different moveset from him.

Which CAN be done. There's animals spirit moves, necromancy, and the witch doctor aspect that are all possibilities to be explored.

Hell, she wouldn't even need any of these, even though they could work. She could just happen to be a Native American, but then again, there might be little need to make her Nightwolf's daughter if that was the case.

Not to mention the use of a spear. That's something Nightwolf has never utilized and it would define more differentiation. Or throwing axes and other magical light abilities. I mean, yes, this CAN and SHOULD be done, lol.

I'd rather see Nightwolf. There's so much more they can do with this character, and they haven't.

I don't think we need an actual descendent, I think another person from his tribe would be better.

It's doubtful that Quan Chi is going to respect the undead bodies of those he has in his possession. He will use them to whatever need he wants knowing him.

But if there is a way to bring Nightwolf back from the dead, i.e. some spirit realm that we haven't heard about that only shamans can travel through when they're dead or something like that, and it's wrote in a way where it's not extremely cheap and predictable, then I would totally respect that.

But, as I said in a different thread related to Nightwolf, he's severely underrated, and I doubt he'll be brought back to life to have more focus be on him.

When I first played the story (and this is all not reading the leaked spoiler, this was probably the only thing I truly avoided on this site when the leak happened) I really thought something cool was going to happen with Nightwolf because it seemed like he was going to shine a lot throughout the story. Unfortunately he didn't. Maybe he did a little when he sacrificed himself to kill Sindel but... that was one measly little scene that happened in seconds.
