Yeah, sure Tanya is a must, so is Reiko, but god knows when will we get them announced... My hopes are for Hara-Kiris returning, although I hate Ashrah, I really do, I hope that she will never get back in any MK game.

Reiko for sure, not so much Tanya. She debuted in MK4 as did Reiko, then she went on to make another appearance in MKD, Reiko did not.

As for the title in general, it's more-less referring to Ashrah. She is a must as she was only in MKD.

Not sure if this belongs in this thread (because I'm not sure it was on Twitter), but Ed said something like 'pay attention to the spaces between the roster tiles'. I guess he means that the 24 roster tiles showcased thus far are not final, and that they would be squeezed together to fit in more tiles. That seems to rule out a 24-character roster, unless he was trolling. In any case, can someone use photoshop or something to squeeze the tiles together and see how much space is created?

I've been reading posts in the forums and front-page news as a guest since MK X was announced and your post intrigued me enough to make an account so I could post this: I compared the width of the spaces between roster slots to the width of each roster slot, it looks like three spaces make up one box... If that's right there seems to be enough room for an extra 3 character slots on each row; which incidentally ties in with what Boon said in the interview when he ruled out CGI endings and said "For a roster of about 30 characters it would be too expensive". So my estimate of how many character slots there are in that current build of the select screen- 30.

I've been waiting for someone to do one since Kano was revealed; it would be great to know the exact number of the initial roster! I've given it a go and I was close; 4 spaces make up 1 roster slot. I don't know how to post images though.
