Except the well developed Reptile the others su8ck and are unpopular at midway. Come on, rain is just a character palette swap aded with another elemental power, and Mokap and Blaze are probably backstage chracters important only toward the story.

you are garbage chrome and anyways theyll probably bring rain back because more people like him than dislike him anyways all those characters except rain were in DA which means they might be back except for mokap hes garbage but blaze will probably come back i doubt as a figter but probably in the storyline

I am pretty sure Reptile will return in Mortal Kombat 7. Reptile is a fan favorite and has been for many years. I expect Reptile to be a more pivotal character to the Mortal Kombat story after his confrontation with Onaga.

As for Rain, I never took him so seriously before. But his Edenian heritage can lead him into some interesting plots in the Mortal Kombat story. Rain could be tied in with characters such as Shao Kahn, Kitana, Jade, Sindel, Mileena, Bo' Rai Cho and Tanya. I say if they could bring back characters like Nightwolf in Mortal Kombat and Noob Saibot, then why not have Rain appear in another Mortal Kombat.

Rain will most definetly be back in MK7. Except for Motaro, Kintaro, Stryker, and Sheeva, Rain is the only character from Mk trilogy that has not been playable in mk4-mkd. Rain is just too popular to just be forgotten about. They will have a great story for him and he will play major rolls in the future MK games to come. Also, if they turned the error character in MK1 Error Macro in to the character we see in MKD, they could do just about anything to any old character at anytime.

P.S. I wouldnt mind seeing stryker and sheeva again!

Let's rethink a little bit the Rain situation shall we? You forget one important point: why has he been eft out so long? Midway indeed cares about the roster and watches his site regularly. There were a lot of people ho asked for him, and what happened? Nothing.

There are a few options:
-either the rain fanbase is opposed by a same sized fanbase of anti fans,
-Midway cares aout the plotline, and I think Vogel and co. sees no imme-
diate use for the traitor.
-they want to avoid the ninjas as much as they can, and I say the do a fine
job. Four MK ninjas are enough in one game. The numbers make the
others less interesting and unique, that is fact.
-what may happen is that Rain comes back rewamped, but with under-
standable changes. if he does, I sure hope he won't have the same moves, especially the stupid roundhouse. That was illogical as hell.

Vogel did a good job of clearing up some of the major plotholes in MKDA and MKD. And his new idea about seido/Chaopsrealm is pretty much OKay, since it is based on existing mythology.

I'm going to say Rain, He was always a cool character. I felt it was wrong that Nightwolf had his Lightning Summon in MK:D. I would just want him in his original Lavender color. His character and story always intrigued me, And I need to know what became of him.

Also rain wasnt the only character out of the MK story for a while. Styrker, sheeva, khameleon were all out of the series for a while since trilogy...infact ermac has just recently made a return as he was missing since trilogy as well. All these characters exlucing ermac not obviously were not in MK4/gold, MKDA or MKD. My guess is that rain would return before any of them because of the current storyline.

Lets take the story into place. Onaga is back and the main things in threat besides the obvious all the realms are what??? Outworld, Edenia and the Elders....yes earth is at risk too but earth has been placed kinda on the back burner. The main story focuses around edenia's army kitana and them, Onaga and the elders. So if i had to pick who would most logically return to help aid the story amoung the missing characters of 3 games....Rain because his story revolves around edenia and khan.

Like i said many times now would be a logical time to bring in rain to take the place of his murdered father and rebuild Edenia's army as general for sindel and kitana. a riot cop wouldnt really serve to the story right now so sorry stryker, sheeva is pointless right now and i would rather have kintaro instead. khameleon has a possibility but overall rain.

But most likely to be honest......fujin is gonna return before all of them i guarantee that.

I guess there's no point listing guys like Kung Lao, Johnny Cage, 'cause we know they'll be back pretty soon.

Out of the characters we've not seen for a long time, I really want Kurtis Stryker back. He's unpopular, and might be hard to fit in without an Earth invasion, but there's something very unique and cool about an unwilling hero forced to fight using modern weapons rather than magic special moves. Give him a SWAT uniform outfit, and a new storyline direction, and Stryker could easily be an interesting comeback. I know he's one of MK's most hated, but so was Nightwolf and he made it, so you never know...

I'd say bring back sonya. cuz shes one of the classic characters. She was only absent in 2 games, and I'd like it to stay that way.

Little kids these days... Let me guess, you're about 10, and Mortal Kombat begins and ends with MKD for you?

I beleive all characters deserve a second chance in the game....perhaps with the Exception of Chameleon and Meat, cause IMO they aren't real. They have no story.

Kintaro, Motaro, Sheeva, Rain, Stryker, Khameleon, Shinnok, Reiko, Kai, Fujin, Jarek, Drahmin, Blaze, Mokap, Mavado, Hsu Hao, Nitara, Frost and Moloch (and technically Sareena) are the one hit wonders.

Of them, I think we will never see these people back:
Motaro, Sheeva, Rain, Jarek, Mokap, Mavado, Frost and Moloch.

I think the others all have storyline potential and could tie in nicely with future MKGames.

I personally think Rain and Sheeva could be in future MK Games, but they seem to have a smaller fan base than others, which might make them less likely to return.

Most "real" MK characters, and by that I mean the mainstream ones, should at least get two appearances in the series. One as their introduction, and another as an improved revamp, how much depending how well received the character was. MKD was good for bringing less established "B list" fighters and giving them another shot. Many have justified their return and should stay part of the series, Ermac, Noob and Jade being the best examples, imo. Tanya and Nightwolf didn't do enough to make them keepers, and should be dropped, and Bo's unfunny dirty drunk act doesn't belong in MK.

I think Sareena and Mavado are definites for MK's future, in the short term at least. For characters without many game appearances, both have well developed storylines and connect to a lot of other characters, so can't simply disappear. I would also be very happy if Stryker, Kai Nitara and Frost (with more unique moves) were next to get cool MKD style makeovers, with new looks, moves and storylines. I also have a soft spot for Jarek, but he's probably really low down on the list of possible comebacks.

The only one hit wonders I think should be excluded from another chance (unless there's another MKT style "all characters" game) are Kobra and Reiko. Neither character serves any purpose other than to fill a character slot. Reiko was a last minute Noob replacement who added nothing to the series but controversy and arguments, and Kobra's just there as a killable goon, who looks far too much like Ken for comfort.
