Opinions on another character wearing Kahns Helmet?

At the end of MK (2011), we saw Shao Kahn's demise by the Elder Gods, in which he was completely wiped from the realms. The only remaining part of him left in the Mortal Kombat Universe is his helmet.

With that being said, what if the helmet isn't just the identity of Shao Kahn, but rather an item that displays power? How would you feel about another character wearing Kahn's Helmet in MKX?


Perhaps Quan Chi keeps it for himself like we see at the end of MK9, or maybe Reiko finally gets a hold of it?

I always viewed it more as his "crown" so to speak and well I think it fits him more than any others. I mean honestly it would be awkward seeing a tarkatan shokan or centaur with it on.

I would not like that since his mask almost defines Shao Kahn along with the hammer. It is part of Shao Kahn's character and I would prefer if it stayed with Shao Kahn.

I think it would be neat if ShaoKahn was playable. Unmasked and very depowered. In his ending, he gets his helmet back. I remember the first time I saw that ShangTsung was playable in MK2, I was like "Holy Shit!"

I'd be OK with it if it was Reiko and Kahn is not included in MKX, but I am hoping to see Kahn return in a weakened state and as a dormant fighter in the backgrounds trying to reclaim his power and throne in Outworld

Two words: Liu Fucking- Kang. It'd be pretty cool to see Liu pretending to be Shao Kahn and standing against Raiden and the Elder Gods.
