I actually think it makes sense. I would replace Hotaru and Kenshi with Reiko and Shinnok though....And we deffinitely need more females for the next games. I would love to see Ashrah, Nitara, Frost and Tanya return! I don't care for Li Mei and Sareena though, i find their looks and gameplay boring.

Well the only reason I didn't add Shinnok is because I feel he is given as the boss for the next game. However, I could be wrong.

However, the switch between Reiko and Hotaru is completely plausible. The only reason I believe he will be there is because of Johnny Cage's ending. I believe Hotaru will show his face in the next game, and since Shao Kahn is dead I see it being more reasonable that Hotaru would be there instead of Reiko.
