You're right, they need to have at least one full variation. There are big fans of those fighters and they would be happy if they get them even with one. I know I would.

If they had 1 variation with intros, updated combos, x-ray, fatalities, brutalities, faction kill animation, win poses, more voice action for mid match lines, balancing, and preferably an arcade ending, I would probably pay up to $2.99 for them. If they had 3 variations and every thing that makes a character a character (barring dlc alternates for some reason) I'd probably pay a full 5.

If they had anything less than what I have listed above, I would rather just have a couple new skins or a new stage.

If you expect them to do 1 or 3 variations for free, prepare to be dissapointed. It isn't impossible but free characters is about as likely as a cake made with piss instead of flour being described as "flavorful and refreshing".

It's not so much that I doubted her capabilities, just more so how everything in that scene was executed. No pun intended.

All the bleeding hearts hoping for the "Story Pack" characters need to get over it and move on.

I know what you mean but we do have a Raiden that cannot Teleport in every variation. Just like Scorpion has all of his classic moves in every variation, and so does Sub-Zero why doesn't Raiden have all of his classic moves including his Teleport?

If they, by a slim chance, DID try to add the story NPC's I think they could try to make them secret fourth variations. E.g. Sindel/Kitana, Baraka/Alien, Rain/Tanya or Raiden?

They WOULD need to invest the time for x-ray, fatalities, set moveset, ending graphics, and interaction dialogue. But this route would save the time given for development of 2 additional variations for those characters and the gameplay testing/balancing they probably do for that as well.

Aw come on man. Don't begrudge Sindel for shitty writing. That scene could have been really powerful...you know if someone with actual skill was constructing it. Could have been this long grim scene and a moment of glory for the queen banshee beating everyone to a pulp and destroying them and reveling in the bloodshed.

I just begrudge the MK 2011 story mode, not the characters who were the tools of its havoc...unless it's Raiden...guy is really stupid.

Obligatory "hindsight is 20/20".

MK9 and MKX both are littered with scenes that could have been so much more than they were. However, I must give props for Scorp and Sub's tea party scene. Really liked how they tied the knot with that seemingly never ending rivalry. Simple, straight to the point, and effective. Not to mention the scene contains a Frost cameo that I surprisingly hold in high regard. I'm not a Frost fan, but I really enjoyed the fact that dialogue alone here solidified her's and Sub's relationship with one another in this timeline.

But I digress. I don't have enough fingers to count how many characters have suffered (Ermac, Baraka, Reptile, even Scorpion) entirely either due to the writing, or the faulty chapter system. Which pretty much go hand in hand anyway.
