I was agreeing with 30, until quality over quantity came into play. I think less would be more, they really nailed the characters variety in MK9 though. They got their specials down and everything. But they could fine tune the mechanics, and make the gameplay sharper. I'd chose that over a ton of characters.

24 base sounds perfect. MK9 has 27 before dlc. Overall i'd be fine with 28 max, with the dlc.

I'd like to see 20 MAX. Any more and we're going to end up with 10+ characters that are low tier. I hate that. I'd take a roster of 8-10 characters that are balanced and tight any day over "OMG ALLZ PLZ!!!1!"

20 tops is what I'd like to see. I doubt that will happen though. Too many people want quantity over quality.

That said- low numbers doesn't always equal quality either.

About 25 characters, plus 5 hidden. Adding it up to 30.

I think that 24 to start with 4 DLC characters for a total of 28 is a nice amount. There's no need for an Armageddon-sized roster. As long as the characters are relevant and not just thrown in there for the hell of it, I'll be content.

Those who are talking very low numbers are expecting a repeat of Cast Past Game. And is all that can not happen, otherwise would lead to stagnation of the franchise. I hope at least (not counting Bosses and DLCs) 20 characters that were not in the past match (either generation MK4-MKA to a few new characters).

I'm psyched for new characters. (And to me new means new. NOT returning from an earlier game.)

So yeah, I'd like to see 14-15 returning characters from past games and like 5 completely original characters. And that's it.

No matter how big or small the roster size is, no more than 5 new characters is great for me. I don't want too many because then you run the risk of having a crop of Jarek's & Dairou's. Nothing against Dairou actually, but at the end of the day he was a nice addition to Deception but I have barely thought about him in the ten years since.

I'm definitely open to new blood joining in, I just hope they have a future past this game. But that of course will depend a lot on fan reaction to them.

They should add like 3 new characters and focus mainly on bringing back old ones that have only been on since their debut.
