Of course anything can happen, but I think the DK is smarter than that. Onaga gave Jinko his powers and I think he should be able to take them away.
It would be a cool twist if in the final battle, Jinko and Onaga square off and right of the bat, Onaga takes his "gift" back. Jinko is left with nothing but HIS experience and skill to fend of the greatest power in the realms. Don't get me wrong, Jinko without his powers would still be a formidable adversary but even he would lose one on one with Onaga.
My MK7 prediction is that Onaga will live through deception and mount an attack on Earth.
Raiden will have his "chosen" and Fujin his.
Raiden's chosen-
Liu Kang
Sektor
Kabal
Kira
Fujin's chosen-
Kai
Stryker
Nightwolf
of course there will be others but I don't have time now.

I think you could be right about Onaga still surviving and trying to invade Earth.
However, your choices for Raiden's chosen warriors (aside from Liu Kang) are way off, imo. I mean, how did you get the idea that Sektor, Kabal, and Kira would be chosen by Raiden??

Well, I would be careful in puting Onaga in the same mode as Shao Khan. Remember it was Shao Khan that was interested in Earthrealm so much.
It is now known that Onaga holds the amulet, which gives him complete transportational powers, and also like it sais in the opening intro, Onaga continues to threaten all realms, not just Earthrealm, so I think his interested in many realms...

I see your point, and I don't mean to make Onaga out to be the next Kahn. I read a post a while back about how one of good guys steal a piece of the Kamidogu and take it to Earthrealm. It's a good idea. It would explain why Onaga didn't end existance, and would get him into Earthrealm.
I think that it is important that the next game take place in Earthrealm. It is a central place in the MK universe and really since the begining, only 2 games have taken place there. It's time to go back.
And about Dark Raiden's chosen, they are very good choices if you think about it. Sektor and Kabal, both are from Earthrealm and both have a reason to protect it from Onaga. Sektor may want to eradicate all of humanity but if Onaga ends everything including him, I don't think he's like that. And Kabal is like Havik, if Onaga wins order will be restored! Now we can have that can we? Kira was only a choice because she's with Kabal.
There are probably others that could be on his side, others that would be better choices, but Sektor and Kabal would be the coolest.

Sektor is busy taking care of Japan while Kabal and Kira are for their own gain. Kabal and Kira may try to help the Earthrealm fighters in defeating Onaga, but I don't seem them as being chosen by Raiden.
To me, the ones that Raiden trusts the most are Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Fujin, Sub-Zero, and probably Kai. Although right now, it's hard to say and Raiden doesn't seem like he trusts anyone and I still don't see him choosing Kabal and Sektor to aid him.

well, to say that Dark Raiden TRUST anyone is a stretch. But with his new outlook on mortals, he'd probably choose fighters who think more like him and are strong. Sektor and Kabal don't personify his beliefs but they do follow the "By any means nesessary" statement to a T, as Raiden does.
Kai, or any of the former protectors, wouldn't follow Raiden, he's not himself.

I agree with Sub-Zero_7th, who is to say that Raiden actually turns dark in MK7? Sure it's a possibility, but let's say that Onaga does survive into MK7. Raiden would still relay on his past chosen to aid him once again. Using the trust of Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Cage, Sub-Zero, Special Forces, etc. Raiden may be able to vanquish Onaga. Plus with his new attitude he wouldn't immediately just not want the past chosen at his side. I'd think he'd at least try to convert them. If Raiden is to turn evil it'll be in a game where he would end up being the boss.

I don't think raiden is going to turn full blown evil, and if he does it wont be in MK7. but we don't have to wait and see if he'll be dark in MK7...he's dark now!
IF Liu is in MK7 I hope that Raiden is the one to bring him back, and I hope his personality is dark like Raiden's. If that happens, none of the past "heros" would follow raiden seeing what he's done to Liu.
