So, Rain and Sweet Tooth...

So I'm surprised no one posted this yet (although the official MKO Twitter account responded), but Ed Boon is getting "Twitter frisky today":

Now, he drops three MK names in there, but only "RAIN" is in all caps, which he seems to always do when he's close to revealing a character. But here's one where he's not even trying:

The "Too Vague" hashtag really raises a few flags.

I try to ignore some of the scenarios where he gets this way on Twitter, but lately whenever he does the all caps things is when he blatantly "non announces" someone shortly before their official reveal. So, does anyone think either of these will appear tomorrow? Maybe as part of the DLC announcement for the Kombat Pack?

Or maybe Boon is just doing what he does best... trolling.

Definitely trolling. He'd already said before that Rain's chances weren't good. I also really wouldn't try putting any sort of pattern to what he caps and doesn't cap.

You may be on to something. When Boon drops hints like that, which are much more blunt and direct, it usually means he's hinting the obvious.

Wow. Sweet Tooth in MKX. Holy fuck that would be amazing.

I'm all for Rain as well. I think his gameplay could be really fun.

Ironic thing is that with some of his retweets in the past, Sweet Tooth seems to have a better chance than Rain... obviously only on the PS4 version.

But yeah, I'm not exactly holding my breath, but as a couple of others mentioned, this is something he's been doing prior to the last few reveals. And neither one of them are making me go "HOLY CRAP, THAT'LL BE AWESOME!", so I'll live if neither are true tongue

Yeah he's trolling big time today, but what's really funny are the comments on the sweet tooth tweet, how many people are complaining about it, just cracks me up how people take it so serious

It could very well just be the fanboy in me, but I've got a serious feeling that Rain is making the initial roster.

One can only hope. Dude has always been a beast gameplay wise.

Meh for Sweet Tooth. It could be worse I suppose.

This is kind of where I draw the line with Boon's trolling. He can hint and be cryptic with the fans all he likes. That's fine. But I just don't understand the point of "hinting" or trolling about characters that are either deconfirmed, or already have a "slim to no" chance.

Like, if Boon legitimately knows a character is NOT making the cut, why even rile up the fans? Kind of sadistic. Especially if said hints are geared at characters like Rain or Tanya. Because we all know how discussions of those two, as well as a handful of the fans, can be extremely volatile. I guess I just don't understand the point of spiteful teasing vs legitimately hinting at future info and reveals.

He's trying throw us off and if it's hinting a character reveal, it'll be Mileena. He did the same in November with random tweets and we got Quan Chi.

No one sweeter to reveal than Mileena.

I want rain tremor and smoke in mkx.

I am fearful that boon is trolling because he knows these chars have little chance of making it in and they have a strong fan base.
basically, he is just rubbing our noses in the fact that they aren't in The game. Boy am I cynical

As much as I want Sweet Tooth in the game, it's not happening. Console exclusive guests were deconfirmed and there's no way Sweet Tooth would show up on Xbox.

Lol @ all the people claiming he's trolling because it's about Rain. Boon has been teasing and hinting about Rain for SEVERAL months now. As far as everyone going "But he said Rain wouldn't be in!" - He never said such a thing. The interviewer asked him if we'd see Rain as possible DLC again and Boon responded with "No, we'll probably do something different this time" and everyone went running around town running their big mouths thinking he was not in the running to being in the game.

If Rain isn't in the game then why does Boon continue to tease? We know he trolls and jokes around, but normally it's fairly obvious- that tweet above isn't so,

Oh and IGN did say there were fleshed out "effects" related to Rain(and Cyrax) seen in the towers.

But of course, most of you will read this post as mumblings of a desperate fan and proceed to disprove it. Go ahead little ones, but I'll do my happy dance when Rain is revealed. Rain on bitches.

I just think he's poking fun at all the people who over analyse his every tweet. Honestly, every single tweet he makes there is a bunch of people who reply with '**** confirmed' even if the tweet is nothing to do with anything MK. Who wouldn't want to have a little fun with that.

Hey, I'll join you in that dance. But I don't really see it happening. NRS doesn't really respect the character. However, I hope that you are right and I'm just being a negative Nancy.
