Its cool for ppl who like MKx, Ed said MKx would be the most supported MK all time after all. So i woulnd be surprised if they release a klassick kharacter pack... $$$$ Even if Reiko, Fujin, Noob and Ashrah would make it, i still wont like MKx.

And im quite sure the characters they choose will be the characters that are most suitible for re-using animations etc. forcing in some of the "most missed" characters to make things up for the long time fans.

With Prince now dead, I wonder if Ed Boon will give us Rain now to honor his memory. :(

Some of these artists are QUICK. And my heart sank looking at this a bit. :(

Considering they kept mentioning the "Reiko Accords" throughout the story mode I wouldn't be surprised if he was meant to be in the game at some stage. Probably early on before the decided to do the 25 year jump.

The Reiko Accords were something from the comic that actually was carried over to the game (whereas practically nothing else was). It was a non-aggression pact between Earthrealm and Outworld that basically called for civilized discussion before any rash, hostile actions are taken if there's a perceived threat of force. It essentially replaced the Shaolin tournament and guaranteed no further attempts by Outworld to take over Earthrealm.

I doubt Reiko would be future DLC but, one could hope. I really loved his redesign in Armageddon (the ONLY thing I liked about Armageddon, actually) and the way he was depicted in the comic. A shame that the story from the comic had practically nothing to do with MKX.

Something tells me Havik and Reiko will show up in the next game.


But who knows? Maybe Ed's next poll will be "Which character from the comic did you want to see in MKX the most?"

That'd be a good poll. This game was sorely lacking post MK4 characters that could've easily fit into the storyline of MKX, not to mention missing come characters that were directly involved in MK4 (*cough* Reiko *cough* Fujin). I'd have to say of all the post-MK4 characters I'd like to see Havik and Ashrah in the most - Havik because he was teased in Noob's MK9 ending and directly involved in the so-completely-different-I-don't-even-consider-it-to-be-part-of-the-MKX-mythos comic, and Ashrah because she was a Netherrealm demon seeking redemption, and would've been a neat addition (even if her story somewhat conflicts with Sareena, who is more deserving of a main roster spot).

I still suspect they were originally intended to be in the game early on until they decided to make the story jump into the future.
