The Pinhead Thread

I know im not the only one who believes that Neatherrealm should create a horror movie icon fighting game. Violent, gruesome and as awesome as MK9 was. But since that may never come to be, the next best thing we can get is guest characters for MK X.

Without a doubt, the one character that was born for a spot in the MK ranks, is, none other than the infernal poet himself, the metaphysical horror from the wicked Hellraiser universe.... PINHEAD.

Just take a look at his already incredible look with its mix of macabre yet elegant design:

And its not only his appearance, but his known abilities would allow for some brutal playstyle. He has at his disposal all sort of rusty razors and chains and hooks, but also has the power of the Lament Configuration box, which could add mechanics such as portals, projectiles and even be implemented on his X-RAY/FATALITIES.

Anyone who has seen the first 4 movies know how gruesome his killings can be and on top of it all its a very interesting character on its own. The way he talks alone, about death and horror in a poetical and philosophical way has always set him apart from other mindless monsters and in my opinion the perfect fit for MK X.

Anyone agrees?

He would definitely be my pick for a guest character. I think he'd fit in well, especially with the Hell/Netherrealm connection, and the similarities between Shinnok and Frank escaping hell via an enchanted artifact.

He stands completely still almost all the time, though.

I don't see how Pinhead can be implemented into the game without looking unusual.

I couldn't agree more. While I think that he would look amazing in-game, he's not a combatant. From what I've seen, he has no fighting skills.

I've never seen Freddy Krueger do hand to hand fighting either, but it didn't stop him. I do hear what you guys are saying though. Maybe if his fighting utilizes chains and hooks? Or maybe he's a slow, deliberate character, sort of like Kotal Kahn. Not a lot of movement, but he packs a lot of force.

Im sure Netherealm would make him look badass when fighting. Without even thinking too much about it i already imagine kind of a hellish-regal fighting stance with the Lament Configuration on his hands, summoning chains to rip apart the infidels . Just because we have not seen it doesn't mean it cant be done.

Eh, that boat has long since sailed friend. If they do have a guest in mind(not a huge stretch) its already been decided. DLC is developed right along side everything else.

Yeah, even if it weren't decided there's so much politics that even if that's who NRS wanted they wouldn't necessarily be able to get him. But I do think it's a great idea, and I hope it is him. I think he'd be an even better fit for the series than Freddy was.

But we've seen Freddy Krueger fight, even if only moderately.

We've hardly seen Pinhead walk. We have absolutely nothing to go by with him being combative, not for Mortal Kombat at least.

If it were Guilty Gear, Pinhead would fit perfectly. He could just float around and summon stuff, but it wouldn't work in Mortal Kombat.
