It just hurts. It makes me immensely sad.

When you spend 11 long years awaiting the return of your favorite female character, praying and hoping they return, and then they finally do and yet a pack of people decide to take this opportunity to do nothing but complain and bash her, it's annoying and irritating. Especially when those people really have no clue what they want themselves. They call MKX Tanya manly, yet they loved everything about Rupaul Dragrace Deception Tanya, manly voice and all. They hate her lightened skin, yet they refuse to acknowledge it was about this complexion during gameplay of Deception(yes, she was much darker in her renders but in gameplay she was lighter).

All of this shit is now leading us to possibly having two different looking Tanya's in the game. Storymode Tanya and actual DLC Tanya. Fucking mess.

I'm not looking forward to coming in this thread and seeing nothing but look shaming. Seriously, she can be the best fighter in the game and several of these picky queens and misogynists will completely ignore that and do nothing but spend the next four years talking about her fucking face, hair, and skin.

Why don't we do that with the men, eh? Why are we just doing it with Tanya? Because she's a woman? Why must she be based on looks alone?

I hope SEVERAL of these people do not have daughters. It's a cruel world enough without having judgmental picky parents on top of it. The way this fanbase treats women is disgusting.

Trust me, I get the feeling. You may know how many comments were made about Sonya's "manface" in MK9, or about her stripper heels, or lack of undershirt...and although as a huge Sonya fan it wasn't pleasant for me to read, I couldn't quite disagree either. And maybe it resonated with the creators too, judging by her appearance in MKX.

As for Tanya, it's still early to discuss anything beyond her looks really...we haven't seen much else yet.
And when someone from the team says Tanya's design undergone some changes it's only normal to speculate. Each hoping for what they would like to see. (matter of personal preferences here)
This will take a turn once her actual gameplay and variations will be shown, no doubt.

I would like her to be well received myself, and hopefully she will after being fully presented. That may also help her chances of being part of the roster from day 1 in the next game. (as it should've been)
But it's not possible to shut everyone's opinions down.

I must admit, I was really taken back by how "white" she looked in story mode.

And that sort of thing usually doesn't bother me but goddamn. Were they afraid to give Jacqui some competition or wut?

For the record- I'm not upset with people having issues with Tanya's skin color. I think that's an extremely valid complaint and if they do decide to darken her, I'm fine with that. No issues here.

It's just there doesn't seem to be any way of making anyone happy, even if they do tweak her. People will still have their complaints.

But I guess that's just the power of the internet. Idk, I just hope the next 30 pages aren't discussion about her hair.

And Giggles, Sonya imo looked her absolute best in MK9. Loved her in that game. I thought her face was worse in MKVSDC.

I'm over the design issues tbh. She's in story mode, so I doubt they're going to change much more. If anything.

So now I'm just extremely excited to see how they'll break up her story mode game play into variations. Because it looks fun already as is. Them flip kicks yo.

I thought the first version of Tanya was great... but THIS Tanya is even more badasss and epik and SCARY!

The freaking badassery of this! It's amazing! LOL

I prefer her with normal eyes, but the changes to her face, hair and skin tone make her look much more recognizable! This is the Tanya I loved!

***TANYA*** is BACK!!

*THIS* is my girl.

They've clearly taken a lot of inspiration from Deception Tanya here. She looks miles better. Those who were fawning over the sloppy first design, shame on you!! Many on the board were extremely happy to see Tanya back again - but not in her first form - that just wasn't her.
