I feel like these days strategy guides for fighting games would become obsolete quickly. They would be good for a physical moveset to refer to without having to go into menus, but things like damage and frame data can be tweaked which would render information incorrect or invalid.

Considering how BAD the last MK guide was and the rage across the internet about how disappointed everyone was, I think it's a good idea to just pass on the guide stuff, specially considering that you can find better guides online that will be updated when patches change the metagame.

Yeah I get what you're saying, it really has nothing to do with needing the guide, its about collecting/having another piece of merchandise related to the game.

Also as somebody above stated, they are perfect for reading when using the restroom, even if you have already done everything in game.

Lol I remember when I was a kid my dad had a Resident Evil 2 strategy guide and I would take it in the car with me and just read it for fun.

I'm actually hoping someone like Piggyback or Future Press might be doing the guide, but if not then I'm a bit disappointed.

I'm still leading the charge about the need for an MKX artbook. As MK fans I feel like we deserve it.
