Logically?
Raiden becomes more and more extreme and it's when he reanimates Liu Kang's corpse to be his ever loyal lap dog, that the earth defenders conspire against him under the guidance of Fujin attempting to rob him of Shinok’s amulet as they assume that is the source of Raiden's corruption. Unaware that the damage is irreparable and was caused by him absorbing the energies from the Jinsei in order to purify it. *shrugs* I could see Vogel writing the characters to be that clueless.

In Outworld:
Kotal is fighting to fully unite Outworld now that the war is over in fear of an attack from a wrathful Raiden. When he is then confronted with who he thinks is Goro who then reveals himself to be the true ruler of Outworld returned using Prince Goro as his vessel. Onaga takes the throne by force from Kotal as he believes Kotal is unwilling to do what is necessary to strengthen Outworld from imminent threats greater than Raiden. However, Onaga is no fool and keeps Kotal as his adviser knowing what a valuable asset Kotal is and it would be best to keep such a charismatic and dangerous being as his right hand, where Onaga can keep a close and watchful eye on him.

In The Netherrealm:
Liu Kang and Kitana unfazed by Raiden’s threats are rallying warriors from every plane of the Netherrealm readying themselves for their next attack on Earth in order to retrieve Shinnok’s amulet. Meanwhile there are stirrings amongst the planes of a warrior cutting his way to the first plane with the intent of freeing those he condemned to eternal torment and servitude.

Yeah, one story idea I have is that Scorpion realizes what a fuck up he is, unleashes the hellfire within and plunges himself into the Netherrealm to destroy the revenants as he sees no other way to free them from Quan Chi’s grasp at this point. during this time he has charged Takeda to act as grandmaster of the Shirai Ryu during his leave.

Oh and Spoiler alert. Shinnok is hiding in plain sight by “assuming direct control” of Liu and Kitana waiting for the proper moment to reveal himself where he can simply reform himself by using the bodies of Liu and Kitana; but must obtain his amulet first to be any mach for Raiden.
That’s what happens when you only reduce a immortal god hell bent on revenge to a head instead of a tooth Raiden. You god damn moron!

Hey!
Noob Saibot was killed in the soulnado. He went back to Hell where he belonged (not that I think so, but that's what happens to evil beings)

Kobra was killed by Erron Black. Why did he go in the service of Noob Saibot? Well, he's an Earthrealmer, like Bi-Han. Most of Reiko's army is from deceased outworlders. Liu Kang already has a formidable army and they pretty much have all the good stuff/power in the Netherrealm. Kobra and the Brotherhood of the Shadow want to depower them and take it for themselves. They made allies: Havik (already implied in an ending as a possible future plot) and the Imperial Army of the Moroi.

Reiko gathered followers because there was a void of power in the Netherrealm after Quan Chi's death. It started after Shinnok's imprisonment, but Quan Chi held the realm for 20 years. After he died, his followers (with Liu Kang and Kitana the most powerful) weren't worshiped by all.
Skarlet obviously loves Reiko. She died or went to find him/free but she found it cozy there!

Motaro and Baraka didn't get resurrected. They're dead. Everyone there is dead and their souls imprisoned.
Mavado is associated with Reiko as of the Outworld Civil War, as the comic explains. There's actually a nice explanation for this in the video, if you make the time to watch it glasses

I didn't do bios cause there's not really much to tell.

But hey, if you guys want to, you can contribute in any way: make bios, change parts of the story, have the characters do different things or have different reactions, change the outcome, whatever you want, and we can make a team effort for the story of the next game, even though the writers won't probably care about our ideas as long as they have their own.

I'm pretty proud of my story and I think I only followed lines that the MK writers have already drawn and are likely to expand upon (like the Noob- Havik alliance), but I'm willing to change some stuff if more than one voice requires me too. As I said, all the help would be welcomed!

Skarlet loves Reiko?

What? Why? How? Huh?

Keep in mind, this coming from a Skarlet fan, due to her design and moves in MK9, so I LIKE Skarlet, and anything that gets her in the story is a good thing, but how is that obvious?

It's obvious if you had read the comics. She got wrapped up in Reiko's schemes for the sake of fanservice.

Also, where would the story go from here?

Well, it seems that Deception's story is coming into place. We know Shijinko is still on his quest, and I'm pretty sure that the Arcade Endings aren't canon, and instead are neat concepts and such. I will be taking some of the endings as half-canon...what's that mean? You'll see.

So, as I said, Raiden's already Dark Raiden. Liu Kang is dead. Kitana isn't...herself. You get the drill. Now, Shijinko's quest will probably finish without interuption, as even Cassie's ending shows him in his eldest form, which, because you have no reason to return to Earthrealm in Deception at that point till Onaga is freed, meaning that Cassie's ending takes place after Onaga' return.

Now, while Shijinko is going about, finding the kamidogos, Raiden, now paronoid about Outworld due to Kotal Kahn's actions, performs an invasion. Some of Earth's warriors refuse, and are either killed, or become runaways. Meanwhile, Liu Kang and Kitana, now King and Queen of the Netherealm, sit back and watch from the realm they now reside.

As this war takes place, Onaga is released, and looking for Shinnok's amulet, attacks Raiden. Raiden puts up a good fight, with his new ruthless style of fighting, and lack of mercy, but the powered Onaga is still far too powerful, and Raiden almost dies. Onaga, just like Deception, has all of the Kamidogo, and is a threat to the realms in itself, but just when it's the perfect time for the Elder Gods to step in, Onaga's power has become too great.

From here, we could have the rest of the Deception plotline, mixed with other interesting things. Taven and Daegon, Kitana's vision, the green lady from Jade's ending, Shang Tsung's possible return, etc.

Ooooh...those comic's I still haven't read yet. Fair enough.

...god, I'm WAY far behind on that. Cool to know Skarlet's in there though.

...wait, wasn't that Mileena's thing? Reiko be quite the ladies man.

I was thinking something different like the old timeline coming into play and characters from both timelines have to make things right kind of like Flashpoint.

I'd say have the Outworld host a new MK tournament with Earth, Outworld & the Netherrealm.

It would be nice though if the time traveling would go to a new hero who travels from the future to prevent a terrible tragedy. Not like Raiden who saw visions from his future self, but someone from another time from the new timeline.

And besides, it won't be a reboot, it's just to save the universe. A huge battle between & good and evil.

I thought it was horrible. Bad science, bad plot, mediocre music (unline the Across the stars or the Chosen one themes from the prequels), uninspiring situation, planets and aliens, coincidences the size of giant plot holes....what can I say....very disappointed.

Did we see Bi Han getting resurrected? I can't remember that.

Only slightly in Raiden's flashback in Mk9, but not exactly how it happened.

So, how 'bout that OP's storyline? wink
Wasn't it something or what? grin

Haven't watched it yet. I plan on doing it when I run out of things to do, since it seems like a good read.
