Well, as we have all learned, death doesn't mean anything in the MK universe so I'm sure they will find some possible way to say that he 'survived'.

It never said He died! Rain was Never found after the Mission in his ending, It never said anything about him being Dead.

I like Rain. If he gets a plot and 'fashion' makeover, and maybe some better moves, then he should definately be in MK7.

If they ever brought him back, they most certainly would give him a makeover.
Afterall, ALL the Ninjas looked alike at one time.
Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Ermac, Reptail, Smoke, Noob Siabot... they all looked the same, with a color change.
Now they all have different looks, to show their indivuality.

i htink the edenians are missing a man in their alliance and also he should fall in love iwth like jade or kitana(that would make lui kang jelous) or something like that that would be cool and add some depth to his story

I think that Rain should try to prove himself worthy of Kitana's affection after his cowardly acts.

You know, he and Tanya seem to be the most mysterious Edenians in that we don't know much about them or what happened to them at the end of each game they're in. Guess what they both have in common? Fathers who played a part in the bad guys' stories! Rain's father was a general who fought against Shao Kahn and his armies and Tanya's father was the General Ambassador of Edenia and thanks to his daughter, Shinnok was set free. Maybe Rain and Tanya should form some type of alliance in MK7 if they're both in the game and maybe some romance will follow grin

OK, the last part may sound strange but when you really think about it, those two characters are probably the most mysterious people in the MK Universe, alongside Khameleon. So seeing Rain again might be soon, we just don't know when.

Rain and Tanya?? wow YUCK! *barfs* HELL NO! I would imagine Rain going after Kitana, Jade or maybe even....Sindel.. tongue

I would say that Reiko and Blaze are far more mysterious than Rain and Tanya. wink

Well you see, both people seem to be at a 50-50 ratio. Some people like them, some hate them and others don't know anything about them to pass judgement. And while Rain could start a romance with the other female Edenians, here's why I think that he shouldn't deal with them.

Kitana: In love with Liu Kang, the champion of Mortal Kombat
Sindel: Had a husband and is too old for himgrin
Jade: After seeing what she did to him in Konquest mode, although it's more than likely not true, I don't think that these two would be seen together any time soon.

The thought of Rain and Tanya together seems strange yes but I know that I would be shocked if something like that really happened. I think that Blaze is on the same mysterious level with Khameleon but Reiko isn't too mysterious IMO as we have some info on him.

From what ive seen and heard, the ratio for wanting Rain back is more like 85-15. I rarely hear ppl say they dont want him back.

Also it would make a good storyline for Rain and Liu Kang to compete for Kitana's love.

I think 50/50 is a fair ratio for dividing Rain fans and Rain haters, not counting those who don't really know him. Most of those who don't want him back (I count myself in this group) don't think that he was a really crappy character, he wasn't. Just a poorly designed one, we think of him the same way we do someone like, say Jarek. We don't think of Rain very much, like Jarek, he was basically a minor filler character, who's time in MK is probably done, unless they do something really special with him. Both were strong characters in their games, but their role is finished, no real need for either of them to return.

I'd put Rain 50/50 for a comeback. He has very strong support from some, while others consider him a pallete swap too far. Hopefully, if he ever does return (which I'm in no hurry for), he gets a makeover worthy of Ermac's, rather than remaining a nobody like Tanya or Nightwolf.

And Miguel, about Rain's ending. OK, it doesn't say FOR SURE what became of Rain, but read it again. Look at the word "suicide", study that word. Then think of how we have heard nothing about Rain since. Until Midway says otherwise, I think Rain was most likely killed after turning against Shao Kahn.
