I would say no. It'sdruined the classic MK's, especially MK2 and the newer MK's probably wouldn't function so well. Ruining MK2 alone would probably be considered some severe crime.

I mean with MK2 they could use all the updated characters like the updated Jade, Baraka, Mileena, and Kitana. This would be a chance for Kitana v. Mileena. And Liu Kang v. Kung Lao.
