The thing is... This is a Mortal Kombat forum, full of fans. So it's far more rational that people are not 'making' reasons to hate NRS.

There are always outliers.... but being logical, that doesn't make sense.

This is a fan forum, everything is up for discussion, I get that much. But in what universe is it more logical or rational to hate on NRS here moreso than anywhere else?

Either way, it doesn't make my point any less valid. MK fans are still contrarians for the sake of it some of the time.

I'm still holding out on this being down to piss-poor PR. I think they mean that KP2 owners will get Goro, Brazil + Kold War packs for free, as well as the Apocalypse pack (i.e. Samurai pack #2). This is an incentive for people to buy KP2, as they're going to get the same amount of content as KP1 as well as the DLC they previously would have had to buy separately.

The actual KP2 will be four new characters and four new skin packs, separate from the pre-order bonuses. Same as KP1, and for the same price.

It is totally nonsensical for previously released DLC to be part of the actual paid content aspect of KP2, and NRS would come in for a total shitstorm for doing so. People are justifiably pissed off at what is being advertised at the end of the KP2 gameplay trailer, but there's no way we're only getting three new skins after six months of waiting.

I'm confident this will all blow over once they make another announcement, or perhaps during the first kombat kast. I do think we're going to get Leatherface and Alien-themed packs, two more klassic packs and some more klassic fatalities.

If not then, obviously, then we should all feel very, very pissed off. EDIT: Also, note the wording: http://testyourmight.com/attachments/kp2_-png.11465 '...will also receive...'

You see I was once like you as well when I heard the final roster I thought; "no surely not there must be a surprise charcater and more stages up the sleeve somewhere" there wasn't. Then when I saw KP1 I thought; "no surely not two guests and a shitty joke charcater with clown pants (tremor) there must be more charcaters" but there wasn't. Then when I saw KP2 I again thought; " no surely not 2 more guests (one ridiculously terrible one in leatherface), one of the shittest least popular charcaters ever (bo rai cho) and a new non-canon robot named triborg! Surely this must be a joke!!!" But it wasn't.

So long story short I have found with this game expect the worst because that is what you are going get. With the crap charcaters they have served up for kp2 I am not At all surprised in the skin packs!

The KP2 will most-likely be $30, as I can't think of why it would be more.

It most definitely will. In reality, it really should be $20 plus tax given that a lot of what's in it is old crap most people already have anyway or don't want to begin with that way most everyone is paying 5 for the characters and getting a discount on the only new skin pack that's actually in the damned thing. But oh well.

I don't understand what you're saying. I never said anything about anywhere else, only that logically in a Mortal Kombat fan forum, it wouldn't make sense for the members to be sitting around 'making' up reasons to hate NRS.

You're being circular just to be circular, so I guess in a sense you're right.

Yes, because ME being certain is MY opinion. Doesn't have to mean anything to you.

Nope. Nope. Nope. All I said was I don't buy that the decision to do KP2 did not come after the release of Tremor. We had original game release sales, KP1 preorders, the sales of JASON (a guest), Tanya, and Predator (another guest). Buy the time they raked in the cash from all of that I am sure they had definitely decided they would do a KP2. They can say it all they want to, and you can eat it up. It'll be you eating tofu, when you were supposed to have steak talking about it tastes great.

Voice actors for who? Neither leatherface or alien speak. Acquiring licenses is somehow preventing them from determining a pricepoint before they release a gameplay trailer?

Sitting on their hands? No. Farting in your face with Bo Rai Cho, yeah.

Not buying it.

If you are going to argue facts with your opinion then what you have written is worthless. You argue facts with facts and nothing else. Not conjecture.

You can say what you want about the decision about KP2 but since you have nothing to back up your claim it is meaningless and not even worth discussing.

Alien and Leatherface are not the only characters in the pack. Bo Rai Chi and Triborg will need voice actors and maybe they have to rehire the previous ones as well for the intro dialogues.

You do not have to buy it but to accuse them of deliberately withholding a price point because of incompetence or malicious intent when they are a company designed to make money is just absurd. It is beyond stupid.

Not usually. From what I've heard from seeing other voice actor's talk, most companies when it comes to DLC nowadays usually option the actors for that in their contracts just in case. That at least was the case for Kevin Conroy and the Seasons of Infamy stuff for Arkham Knight. So, since that was also done by WB, I'd assume the same is the case for MK at least in that regard and every voice actor they used had an option in their contracts in case one of their respective characters was chosen for DLC or their services were needed again at a later date.

Not trying to join in on the argument, just thought I'd throw that nugget of info out there.

Alien and Leatherface may not speak, but they both make noises from their mouths, so even if its not a lot, they do need some form of voice acting.

That is not what I meant. The voice actors still have to come in and do that voice acting work and I am sure they have other work commits as well so they have to fit it around their schedule.

Yeah, hence why voice actors tend to stay relatively very busy but I was just saying regardless as the word you used was "re-hire."

So I don't play many games anymore and I have never followed one as closely as MKX before but damn am I shitted off with this drip feeding of info we have had the whole frigging way. would it kill them to just come out and say here is KP2 you get blah blah blah, it will cost $40 and it's available from the 1st Feb. instead of kp2 is coming next year (no new info for months), here's a silouhette(no new info for months), here's the charcaters (no new info for weeks), here's a gameplay trailer(no release info or complete package details).

Is this just an NRS thing or do all game companies do it? I understand the theory behind building hype but come on guys this KP2 has taken longer to release then the friggin game did!

The entire marketing for this game has been horrendous but nothing compares to how horrible they've been at keeping this game in the forefront of the general publics mind post release. I know three co-workers who are not hardcore fans(one of which this was his very first MK he's ever bought) were extremely irritated in which the way KP1 was released and didn't like the idea of having to wait a solid five months(including the month it was originally announced) for all of the KP1 contents to fully be released. They weren't alone. Then after that things go radio silent on this game for SIX fucking months with nothing but an obscure silhouette picture posted to twitter and the faint promise of a vague "2016 release" to build up interest. Really? I'm sure KP2 won't see the sales of KP1, not even because of the controversial choices(hell, most of the casuals seem thrilled) but simply because it ALL feels too little too late. You have to strike while the iron is hot and right now the iron is cold as a fucking meat locker. And now their expecting people to play the waiting game yet again. For their sakes I hope they plan on releasing all of the KP2 characters at once this time or at least in quicker succession than a month each.

I'll purchase Bo and Triborg, play around with them for perhaps a few minutes or so each, but then I'll go back to other things and MKX will go back to collecting dust. They had the opportunity to keep this game thriving but failed. Oh well, on to Street Fighter V- they have at least communicated with fans vigorously about their long term plan that'll last for YEARS to come. THAT'S how you do business.

Its very evident you didn't even sort of comprehend what I was saying.

I wasn't arguing anything with opinions. I don't think I was arguing anything with you. I just responded to your comments about my CERTAINTY with an explanation. You can take it or leave it. Whether its meaningless or not, my reasoning for feeling the way I do in a forum has its own validity.

Nobody said Alien and Leatherface are the only characters in the pack. Comprehension of what I said would yield, HALF of the pack is not speaking, therefore the same amount of work is not there.

I wasn't even talking about not buying the pack. It was a play on words. Not buying it as in not buying into the crap that they would like you to believe.
Accusing them of deliberately witholding a pricepoint? Either they have a pricepoint or they don't, my point was WHERE is it? You have a gameplay trailer and no idea of cost?
Incompetence? Malicious intent? Now you're just pulling shit out of thin air.

All I was trying to say, was they should've had more shit together with the long ass wait we had to endure.
I don't need you to tell me what I say means nothing. I am not paid for this so ultimately I don't care. I could care less if nothing I type means anything to YOU. Just here rationalizing with fellow fans.
