i think you will be ok without a MK game this year and can hold out till 2008. Besides they shouldnt have to be rushed.

Agreed we should just wait... They probably gave us Armageddon to chill for a year anyways

The DS game is probably going to be this years' game.

The "new MK game every year" thing is a stupid idea, and it hurts the quality of the overall MK games.

It's a shame that Midway has to rush the MK team. If only they were allowed 2-3 years between games.

This is Midway we're talking about here, how many times have Ed & Co. promised us the 'sky and the moon' but delivered something else.

Anyway I agree that if they're going to make a worthy next-gen MK title then they should take their time and do it right.

Midway is the MK teams boss more or less, they're the ones that's make the big time business decisions NOT the MK team like so many fans blame all the time.

I mean in the old days it was every few years and I know the MK team didn't mind this I'm sure.

Now with the release an MK game every year, it's more pressure on the MK team.People have to realize this.

For the new MK game this year, well MK:A for the wii and MK for the DS.There's your two MK games for this year.The DS one especially.

The gaming industry has hit a huge, huge boom and Midway wants to cash in as quickly as possible. Notice I said Midway. Y'know, the guys who own the MK franchise and tell Boon and his team when games are supposed to be released. I don't like the MK game a year idea at all. Blame the corporation if you want to rant.

I guess the new features this year will indeed be the MK on the DS and MKA for the Wii.

I'll be glad to wait until the end of 2008 for the next MK game. They have been working on this game since last summer and if they spend 3 years on a game its likely to be a lot better than just spending one year on a game, they have used the same engine for the last three games and it was crap so if they spend their time on this MK and make it good then well have that same engine for at least another game so MK team do not rush hell I wouldnt care if they pushed the game back another year just when the game comes out it better be good.

MKD came out in 2004.

Shaolin Monks came out in 2005 and it wasn't a half-assed game. Both MKD and Shaolin Monks were great, fun, and very successful.

Why can't they do that again?

MKD could have been way better if they had more time to bring the game. It has many flaws it shouldn't have.

It's been done before, they can do it again. But ever since Armageddon, they've just been lazy.

Even THEY know they can do it. Why the hell would they make it there goal to release a new MK game every year then? Oh but since crap sells (Armageddon), they think they can screw the fans over again by ignoring and not doing what they told the fans they would do.

That's what everyone says about every Mortal Kombat game. There's millions of complaints for each new installment. There has never been a perfect MK game and I'm pretty sure there will never one to the fans, anyway.
