Which Version of MKX Would You Have Preferred?

Simple question: Which version would you have preferred? The one we got or one whose story and roster was based on the comics? (When compiling the comic roster, I simply used the characters that were involved the most, had big set-piece moments or offered different gameplay elements than what we received)

MKX Roster:
Kung Lao, Jax, Sonya, Kenshi, Kitana, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Mileena, Takeda, Cassie Cage, Jacqui Briggs, Kung Jin, Shinnok, Kano, Johnny Cage, Erron Black, Liu Kang, Ermac, Kotal Kahn, Reptile, Ferra/Torr, D'Vorah, Raiden, Quan Chi & Goro

DLC: Jason, Predator, Tanya, Tremor, Alien, Leatherface, Bo' Rai Cho & Triborg

MKX Comic Roster:

The MKX Roster because although I love Rain, everything indicates that he would most likely be too similar to his MK 2011 version. Mavado instead of Kenshi ruins the comic roster! Never liked Forrest Fox, that is a wasted spot. Soo excited for Havik, Sheeva and Fujin but they can wait.

Diversity. Kenshi barely had any action except for the first digital issue and then disappears completely. Mavado was at least involved in the abduction plot.

A lot of these characters; the revenants, Kenshi, Jax, Kung Jin, ect. would've been limited to cameo or NPC status based on how they built the released roster compared to what these characters were given in the comics.

Comic roster, though the lack of Kung Lao saddens me lol. Also, I'd replace Forest Fox with Kenshi and kept Tanya as DLC.

Well the comic one has Havik AND Reiko, so I am going with that one. I had high hopes for at least one of those two to be in MKX.

It honestly seemed like the comics told a story more along the lines of what I was expecting the game's to be (when it was announced) lol

The comic version for sure, but it would still suck to lose Tanya and Shinnok since MKX kinda feels like a last hurrah for them (especially Shinnok). And I was practically drooling with anticipation for Shinnok in the hype craze leading up to the games release so to not have him make it would have been a major bummer. That said tho no lack of one character can ruin an MK for me and if the game had followed the comic's story he wouldn't have been necessary anyway. And it would have been so damn cool to see Reiko, Fujin and Havik's gameplay. Also having the revenants be story cameo's would have been preferred, as with the parents of the teen titans. Maybe just have a couple playable, not all of them (minus sindel and jade). This game relied wayyy too heavy on the special forces and their many allies.

Comic roster, but definitely with Daegon there. He pulled the strings from the shadows. I would have loved to see on screen the alliance him and Reiko made in order to give Queen Mileena the throne of Outworld. We got a poetically beautiful scene in the comics with Reiko and Goro, so I think it would have been something similar.

I admit I was kind of scared when Kotal Kahn showed up in Earthrealm pissed that the Red Dragon was aiding Mileena and said he was going to "exterminate" them. But it worked out fine for the Red dragon leader. Despite the losses of Hsu Hao and Mavado, Daegon captured Kenshi and now plans to use the ancient knowledge of Onaga's holy men in a chaos torn Outworld.
