Who is Konga?

Khameleon is/ could be integral to Reptile's story.
I want a few of them from the list to return. I want to know more about Tremor aswell.



Ka-Tra

I think that Sareena should be in MK7 for both storyline reasons and because I'm a big fan.

I also think Khameleon and Reiko deserve another chance. they have a lot of potential especially now with the current stoyline and possible storyliens that are about to unfold.

Rain - Sure. However, only if he gets a major overhaul in apperance like Ermac or Sub Zero. His moves are cool though, and he still has the potential for a decent story (I'd like to know what happened w/ his suicide mission)

Sektor - Definitely. He got some nice development with his Tekunin army story, plus losing to Subby, I can't wait til he returns.

Stryker - He could be really badass, as long as the MK team take everyone from MKO's advice and make him look like a SWAT team leader. I'd like to hear his story after MK3...

Kintaro - He needs a return, it's time for a fast, overly powerful boss again.

Motaro - Same as Kintaro, he was cool.

Chameleon & Khameleon - Like to see them merged into one character - male and female - and can imitate ANYONE (on the next gen consoles it should be possible). If that's the case, then he/she should be a hard to find hidden.

Reiko - Sure, if Rain returns, I'd like to see Reiko turn out to be his dad (Check their stories...)

Fujin - Yes. It's an injustice that he hasn't returned (but maybe not, they may have screwed him up) seeing as how he is supposedly the current Protector of Earth. If Raiden ends up evil, Fujin should have a big part to play.

Shinnok - Perfect for a boss, or powerful character. Great concept, fantastic since he was an elder god, ruined in the game He needs to return as a very strong character, and he will turn out great.

Kai - Awesome character imo, again ruined in the game. His fireballs are really cool, and they could make his handstand moves useful. Depending on the storyline direction of Liu Kang, it's time for another Shaolin Monk to return to MK...

Sareena - Why not, she's gotta be better than Tanya, Kira, Sonya, (insert lame MK chick here)

Konga - Yeah, he was cool - I'd like to see him as a mid-boss / sub-sub boss.

Blaze - Another great concept crapped up. Dammit Boon, stick to the concept drawings when you put the character in the game (same applies to Dairou...)

Jataaka & Kia - Maybe, if they are lacking cool MK girls, or are developing the Brotherhood of the Shadow.

Tasia - Same as the 1st part for Jataaka and Kia.

Tremor - Absolutely. He has one of the coolest special powers in the MK universe (ability to control earthquakes) which would be so cool in-game. Give him a palette swap ninja overhaul and he'd be one of my fave new characters I think...

MKM:SZ's Fire God - He was one of the best ever characters imo. Cool moves, sick look and an elemental god of Earth - what more do you want?

Hachiman - Ok, he was never in an MK game - but go look at his concept (in the MKDA krypt) again. He is one of the best conceptualized characters I've seen from the MK team. Your telling me he's not better than Darrius, Kira or Kobra

Tiamat, Baphomet, The Elder Demons - Same as Hachiman, in that they never appeared in an MK game, but surely they are better concepts than what we've seen used in the recent Mk's...

He was the big drummer from the cliff stage in MKDA. His krypt concept said something about if two players drew a round, they would both simultaneously fight him (how cool would that have been...).

Sareena
I've said it dozens of times and explained at great length: Sareena needs to finally get into a real game. Look in MKKItana's Sareena Ideas for my ideas on Sareena.

Rain
I think deserves another shot, like Ermac and Noob. I think he could make a good new love interest for Kitana since Liu's gone. And if Liu is back for good...that just makes things interesting.

Shinnok
Shinnok had a cool story and he looked pretty bad ass in Mythologies, but they screwed him up in MK4. I think he deserves a second chance, especially with Raiden going dark and the One Being becoming a threat. Shinnok could play an interesting role there.

Sektor
IMO, the coolest of the cyborgs and he has an interesting story building with the Tekunin. He could play a big threat against not just the Lin Kuei, but also the Special Forces, Black Dragon, and Red Dragon.

Kintaro
Much cooler than Goro, IMO. I think he should get another shot, hopefully as a playable charactert. I think it'd be cool if they have him hate Goro and join anyone who's against him. Be it Onaga or even the Edenian forces.

Reiko
Long shot I know, but I can dream. As I've said numerous times, if he comes back I hope they have him connected to Sareena and drop his Shao Kahn connections.

Kia
An even longer shot, but I like Kia and I see potential in her...sue me. I see her as Sareena's rival. I think if they developed their backgrounds and had a feud it could be cool.

Drahmin
Wasn't listed, but I thought Drahmin had a cool story and the idea of his character was cool. But he wasn't good to use, and I didn't care much for his appearence. I think if they revamped a bit and got him involved with the Netherealm storyline a bit more, he could be cool.

Khameleon
I'd like to see Khameleon get a second chance. I think she could play an interesting role with Reptile that I'd like to see developed.

Yes they were, in MKTrilogy.

In the Playstation version of MKT, Chameleon was a hidden fighter who used all of the male ninjas powers. He would phase in and out of each nija every few seconds, allowing you to use the moves of that character until the next change. Chameleon had No story.

Khameleon on the other hand, was found on the N64 version of MKT. She was a grey version of Kitana with the moves of Kitana, Mileena and Jade. Khameleon, however, is a canon(real) character. She was a member of the same race as Reptile, the Raptors, and she was searching for Reptile to let inform him of Kahn's part in the erradication of their species. She hasn't been used since MKT, unfortunately.

Chameleon IS IN Ultimate MK3 also,not only in MKT.

Chameleon is not in UMK3, unless he was added as an extra in a home version, which isn't really the same thing.

Out of the classic characters listed, I'd most like to see Stryker and Kai given another chance. They are two of MK's most underrated characters, especially the much hated Stryker. I loved the way he fought with weapons rather than ninja magic or whatever. And Kai could work well in the 3 style fighting system, caperoia, some Shaolin kung fu, and his knife. I also want to see Sareena make her debut in the main series, she is too cool to be just left to side games, and is pretty well developed for someone yet to make it in the main games.

Although MKDA characters weren't listed, I would love to see Mavado and Nitara return to MK7, they became two of my favourite characters of the series. I like Drahmin, but he needs some work if he comes back, his mask looks like something from Scooby Doo, and with unique moves, Frost could be a great comeback too. I liked Hsu Hao as a fighter, but I think, like Jarek before him, the character has most likely run his course in MK.

There's quite a few concept characters I would be interested to see at least given a chance. Since they're not exactly "classic" characters returning though, I think they probably need they're own seperate discussion topic.

Ya gotta have Fujin back. I can totally imagine him looking bad ass with long white hair and god like moves. I'd definetly use him.

I'll go over the new ones you've listed;

Sheeva - She needs to return, I'd personaly like to see her turn out to be one of Goro 7 wives. But more likely is that she'll have some connection to Kintaro, and they'll both return in the same game (imagine them as a sub-boss tag team...)

Meat - Not really a character, more an alternate outfit. I don't think we'll see Meat again.

Monster - Well, he is Scorpion - who defintely needs a storyline lift. Hopefully Scorp will return as Monster in MK7, and have some conflict with Noob Saibot.

Belokk - Midway never owned the rights to him, therefore he could not be used in MK:Gold, and can't be used now. He would've been badass though...

Blaze - I like Blaze, he is a great character. Unfortunately the MK team didn't follow through with their original concept for him (with the double axe and paul phoenix-like hair). If they had, he would have turned out fantastic, but I still think he was ok in DA. Definrtely a character I'd like to see return, to hopefully resume his quest.

Mavado - One of the best newcomers to MKDA, spoilt (imo) by his elastic ropes. Cool storyline, good outfit (especialy the 2nd), a quality character. I'd like to see him return, along with Kano and Kabal, and the 3 of them can resume the Black Dragon / Red Dragon conflict.

Nitara - Here's a rarity, an interesting MK female! I liked her ties with Reptile and Cyrax, I'm hoping she returns for mk7, maybe with another vampiric character.

Drahmin - Again, a fantastic MKDA newcomer, with lots of potential. Unlike red_dragon, I personaly liked his mask, cus it's like an intimidating war mask. However, if he does indeed return, I'd prefer to see at least one of his looks in his human form - like was conceptualized in the Krypt. He looked menacing in those drawings, so he should return like that.

Hsu Hao - Meh, he was ok. I kinda like the super cop / soldier idea, but the way he turned out I didn't like. Hopefully he would play a bigger role in mk7, but I doubt he will make the roster.

Frost - I like her, and don't view her as a Subby rip-off. Now that she died, I'd like to see her resurrected into Noob Saibot's dark army (hopefully as a cyborg) and resume her battle with Sub Zero, at the side of Noob Saibot and Smoke.

Havik - Great character, with humour to boot. I love that he is all for constant chaos, and I'd like to see his ending come true. Defntely should return for mk7 - he also holds the potential of bringing Zaggot, the god of chaos from the mk comics, into the story - which would be sick.

Kira - Didn't really like her, especialy since someone looking the way she does with her 'attributes' supposedly convincingly posed as a man for years - sorry the story just doesn't fly. The tough girl / doesn't give a shit persona is cool though, so if she did return I wouldn't mind - just needs a story revamp.

Darrius - Hated him. His look, moves, story - bah worst new character for a long time. I wouldn't mind if he never came back.

Kobra- Same as above. They really chose to make these guys over Hachiman and Baphomet???

Ashrah - Cool look, story, but ripped off moves. I would like her to be in mk7, cus she's one of the few decent MK females - just give her personalized moves.

Hotaru - I'm starting to sound like a broken record, great concept, poor execution. Love the samurai look, his armour is great, and so is his ground fireball. The grasshopper kick is ok...but why only two moves? I liked his staff though, and would be pleased if he was on the mk7 roster, revamped and deadly, like he appears to be.

Shujinko - Please let Raiden's ending be true...

Onaga - One more time - good idea, bad execution. I liked how they built him up in MK5, lots of cool references and most of the characters had at least some link to him in their bios / endings. However, he was a lame boss, and appeared much more like a sub-boss. I did think his stage was fantastic, and since he can split from Reptile (which is what will hopefully happen), they can save him as a character. He can return as a strong, fast, agile and powerful boss (like Shao Kahn). The MK team can say it's what he was like thousands of years ago, and the only reason he was big and slow was because he merged with Reptile. So yeah, he can return, as long as he is smaller and more agile.

01.Rain- Well, for me, Rain was one pallete swap too many. His story was pretty weak IMO, but in saying that there is some room for development, especially after MK:D's Konquest linking him as a terrorist/renegade who Jade was after. Thats the only way i can see him returning.

02.Sektor- Although I detest the cybrogs, Sektor is the better of the three IMO. I definitly thought he would return in MK:D since he was in MK:TE. But alas it was not to be.

03.Sheeva- I think I'm one of the few who liked Sheeva. The problem is that she is dead, and ressurections are getting old and boring. I like others' ideas of her being linked to Kintaro though.

04.Stryker- Hmmmm I'd have to say no on this one. He was pretty boring and not much liked.

05.Kintaro- We still dont have confirmation on what happened to him. Goro is getting VERY boring, but we need a Shokan so why not.

06.Motaro- I hated this monstosity. Dull IMO. he is dead and should remain that way.

07.Chameleon- IMO isnt even a real character. No story. Sorry. That doesnt mean he can't return however.

08.Khameleon- One of the most vastly understated characters. has masses of potential. Her story can revolve around Either outcome of Reptile. She can also take a story which has nothing to do with Reptile. Needs to return.

09.Reiko- I always liked Reiko though he seemed rushed. develop him more and bring him back.

10.Jarek- No no no!!! Kano Rip Off. Enough said.

11.Fujin- has a lot of potential and should return that Rayden is 'Dark' (I wont say evil since I dont think thats stirctly true). he is supposed to be the Protector of Earthrealm, so should be involved, and IMO should Replace Rayden.

12.Shinnok- Well he was a poor boss. his story was interesting and creative, but his Shan Tsung rip off qualities let him down. I never thought he should return until I came up with a story for him of my own. (See my thread for detail )

13.Kai- yes should return. Not a bad concept or design, story needs a little work. The good guys from Earth are getting old and boring an monotonous. This would be good move.

14.Meat- Not a real character. Goodbye for good hopefully.

15.Sareena- MASSES of potential. Should have been in Deception. SHOULD be in MK7 since she is tied to both Sub Zero brothers, one of whom is Now known to be Noob....her enemy. Interesting!! very underrated.

16.Monster- No. Just an alternate costume for Scorpion.

17.Konga- Interesting Idea, but I didnt like his design.

18.Belokk- His look was actually quite interesting and relatively original. There arent many beast in MK so could be a good move to introduce him.

19.Blaze- Blaze was a good idea and good concept, but was poorly done. He has a lot of intrigue and mystery around him....they need to quash some of this by developing him more.

20.Mavado- Never liked him. I hate this whole Red vs Black Dragon. Boring.

21.Nitara- One of the best newcomers to MK:DA. Has a lot of potential again, and it was hinted that the vampires would pose a threat to Earth in Rayden's MK:DA ending. yet they fail to build on this. Hopefully she and an ally will return.

22.Drahmin- I really liked him, but his styles weren't too great in MK:DA compared to others, which meant he was overlooked. If the sorcerors return in MK7, they will be needing allies. but dont turn him into a Tanya or Kano.

23.Hsu Hao- I really like him too, vastly underrated. his story however is a bit lacking. Also, since they told us Kitana and Jax's ending were both canon in MK:DA.........only for them to contradict this by killing both at start of MK:D and having Goro NOT die......Hsu Hao could still be alive if Jax never got chance to kill him. (IMO Jax's ending was meant to take place AFTER the Deadly Alliance were killed, so since they killed Jax it wouldnt be canon).

24.Frost- Sub Zero Rip off. Should remain Dead. In by bottom 10 of all time.

25.Havik- how can he not return. Love him or hate him, he has to return for storyline reasons.

26.Kira- Another good concept but poorly done. A rip off of Sonya and Kano. That's her main problem. But MK does this too often and spoils characters, so she shouldn't return.

27.Darrius- His story doesnt seem to be connected too much to the Overall MK story. Seems out of place, plus is a Jax rip off. Don't return please.

28.Kobra- Boring, bland, rip-off, bad styles, dull. I'll stop there.

29.Dairou- very interesting. Was supposed to be in MK:DA so has always had ype around him. A little bit of a let down, but making him a mercenary allows him the potential for development in a lot of ways. Come back!

30.Ashrah- Hmmmmm one Im not really that bothered about. IMO she will escape the Netherrealm but not kill Noob or Smoke. Her mission is done. Goodbye, you're not needed. Though, could be a potential rival to Sareena.

31.Hotaru- I didn't like him. IMO he doesnt look that great, and Im not buying the whole Seido/Chaos thing. If he does come back, give him better styles and combos.

32.Shujinko- No. He has served his purpose.

33.Onaga- yes, he should return. Lots of potential and therefore shouldn't just be in one game and then die. he is the GREAT Dragon King after all. there's twist coming with him Im sure.

Mavado
I liked Mavado and I liked the idea of the Red Dragon and I would've liked to have seen him get a second chance. But unfortunatly, he's more or less dead now. They could pull a "Kabal only THOUGHT he killed Mavado" but that's exactly what Mavado did to Kabal. Do we need to go through that again?

Nitara
I'd like to see Nitara come back. She seemed like a cool character and I'd be interested in seeing where she goes.

Frost
I think we'll see Frost back. Her return can be explained in a couple of ways. She seemed interesting and since she could possibly be Sub-Zero, and therefore Noob Saibot's sister, I think she could play an interesting role.

Havik
I definitly want Havik back. His purpose is to cause trouble so he could easily return.

Kira
Kira seems cool. I'd like to see more of her, she just needs her own moves.

Ashrah
I liked Ashrah. I could see her coming back to play a role in Sareena's story. They could be enemies at first, then allies.

Onaga
I'd like to get one more game out of Onaga. It's too soon for Raiden and the One Being, I don't want Shao Kahn the boss again and anyone else would just come out of nowhere.

Monster
I'd like Monster to appear for no other reason but to stop the Monster is really Scorpion debate. If they were ambitious, they could have Monster mad Scorpion took his place as the Champion of the Elder Gods and they could have a brief feud.

Stryker- I know most people hate him, but I would love the riot cop back in MK. His reliance on weapons and "normal guy caught up in it all" persona make him very unique. Having him in the story without another Earth invasion might be hard, but it is possible.

Sektor- Like MKKitana, I dislike the cyborgs. But Sektor is the best of the 3, and should be the only cyborg in MK. Should be back for at least one game.

Sheeva- I'd be interested in seeing her back. The playable cast could do with a super strong brute, Goro's gotten boring, so I think she could take over as the token Shokan.

Rain- Didn't like him much, just another dull pallete swap. But after MKD revamped other clone characters, he can have another chance, provided we don't have ninja overkill again.

Motaro- Didn't like him. A good idea in theory, but in reality was a practically immobile four legged combo target. Bye bye.

Kintaro- Ed Boon himself hates him, but I thought he was the best of the sub bosses. Goro's been overused, the others were disappointing, let's give this guy another chance I say. Probably won't happen though.

Khameleon- Has a small scrap of storyline, I know. I just find it very hard to take this extra pallete swap seriously as a real character.

Fujin- I found him boring in MK4/MKG. But he does have a lot of potential, and with more unique special moves, a wind user could be a great addition to MK's cast.

Kai- I'd love to have him back. Story needs work, but I think he would work so well in the recent games 3 style system. Caperioa, some kind of Shaolin kung fu, and his machete.

Jarek- I have a soft spot for him, and despite being just Kano Junior, he was very strong in MK4/MKG. But I think he's best left in the past now, Jarek has run his course.

Shinnok- What a letdown. All he turned out to be was a watered down Shang Tsung. Not sure if it's worth salvaging him for another shot in MK.

Reiko- A boring filler character, ruined beyond all repair by the stupid Kahn/Reiko arguments. It says something when even MK staff hate him.

Sareena- Has so much potential, and for someone yet to make the main series, she's very well developed. Hopefully, her time will come in MK7, she's got the cool, sexy look, the deep storyline, just give her a good moveset.

Mavado- Quickly became one of my all time favourites. Has far too much potential not to return, plus Boon said he liked him. Mavado's hooksword moves put Kabal to shame, loved his first outfit and Long Fist style, and he has a deep storyline that can go further.

Nitara- Another favourite character. The sexy vampire is pretty unique among the MK women, and I'd love to see them do more with the whole vampire theme in her fighting moves. I'd like to see her connections to Reptile explored further too.

Drahmin- I really liked him as a player character, but his storyline doesn't really give much potential for future development. If he does make it back, hopefully he'll look something more like the second mummy outfit, with a less Scooby Doo looking mask.

Hsu Hao- Like Jarek before him, he's a strong fighter to play as, but best kept as a one hit wonder. His role is basically that of "expendable goon".

Frost- I liked the fact she looks different to most MK "ninja" women. Has potential, and I think she deserves another chance. But she does need some more unique special moves, not to be seen as Sub Zero with boobs.

Blaze- Didn't really do much for me, I'm afraid. I guess the door should be left open for him to come back into MK at some point. I'm just in no hurry to see him again.

Moloch- A real letdown as a sub boss. Just a generic big monster, and pretty easy to beat at that. Has no real comeback potential, imo.

Havik- The most interesting MKD newcomer. Definetley has to come back, there are too many possibilites for a man just out to create chaos. I hope they do more with his twisty, bendable limbs.

Kira- I know her moves rip off Kano and Sonya, but she's my personal favourite MKD newbie. Is the best of the directionless new Black Dragon, and has the right mix of sexiness and ruthlessness. MK needed another bad girl, but give her her own moves next time.

Ashrah- I don't get why people get excited about her. Her story's interesting for one game, but eveything else about her is boring. Ripped off moves and a very plain look, plus little future prospects.

Hotaru- A good concept, I love the samurai armour, the naginata, and the flags. But he was let down by akward moves, and reduced to being just Onaga's henchman. I hope they give him another chance though.

Dairou- I was looking forward to seeing this MKDA concept become reality. But they ruined him beyond repair with MK's dumbest looking moves, and a real going nowhere storyline.

Darrius- He was the last character added, and in many ways it shows. But I think his storyline as a revolutionary has potential for at least one more shot in the series, with work done on the character.

Onaga- All the build up he had, I was looking forward to seeing him for real. Pity he was a letdown as a final boss, being more Goro than Shao Kahn, imo. Culd possibly be given another go, but I've lost interest in him.

Shujinko- With Kung Lao and Sub Zero getting build up for hero roles in MKDA, why did they feel the need to force this guy in as the hero? We didn't ask for a new hero out of nowhere, and many of us don't like him.

Kobra- Could well be the worst MK character ever. Should never have got past the designers sketchbook. Did they honestly think we'd not notice he's a virtual clone of Street Fighter's Ken?

Mokap, Meat Chameleon- Not real characters, I'll never see them as anything but extras.

Johnny Cage: altough many players do not like him i think he should be one of the heroes along with kung lao.

Kung lao: lu kang had his turn and kung lao has a more origanal design

Motaro: Mk needs to have a giant sub-boss that is unlockable, motaro should defenatly show up if this "konga" character does not make it into the game

kai: lame moves sucked, bland look stupid story

lei mei: gamespot said that she was a rip off of a character in crouching tiger hidden dragon, but i think they gave her too much credit midway needed filler so the just put in a slutty chick

I will say that these 15 classic fighters all deserve another chance to be in MK and make it into MK 7. They all have some kind of significance one way or another and their stories all have a decent chance of being thenominal. I put a star on the characters that I think will be in MK 7.

Kobra - Kira will kill him off. He reminds me of Stryker and Street Fighter anyway.

Ashrah - My favourite female character. She has huge potential. Plus I heard she is Boon's favourite out of the new characters.

Hotaru - Must return. Needs a new storyline though. When Onaga dies he could get banished to the Netherealm and turn really evil. *Cough* I read in a FAQ that Hotaru in some asian language means "bug" *Cough*.

Shujinko - Luckily for him I recently learned how to master him. Other than that Raiden will kill him off.

Onaga - He is gonna get killed off because Ermac senses something worse than Onaga.

As for Kia, Tasia etc I don't think they will return. They are just side characters.

what they need to do is make another mk game that has EVERY SINGLE charecter from mk, and include it as a bonus in mk7. liu kang sucks.
