Obviously, because of a massive amounts of fan(boy) service. D'oh.

And I've got a feeling the guys at Midway know this already, too.

This isn't the DOA series. I'm all for fanservice, but if that's the best reason anybody can come up with to why they should make a game, then I say don't bother.

Oh God... first of all it's not evar, it's ever.

Second, Kitanas and Mileenas fandom is becoming quite bland and unisnpired, such like the characters, at least in my honest opinion. Geez, Kitana should have shown more character development, and Mileena should get more meaning out of her concept, becouse being simply the evil Kitana clone turns my stomach upside down.

And don't count on a game like that, a friendly advice.

Oh yes, my stupid indeed! Their smart.

Also, Chrome: It's also not "teh" but "the", you know? I guess you didn't get a little sarcasm.

On a side-yet-amusing note, according to the scientist research of the University of Durham, fighters wearing red are more likely to win than these wearing blue (tested on a teakwondo, wrestling, and boxing fighters). Appearantly red gives them more agression and better overall ability. (And the purple is like a type of red, isn't it?)

Missed points aside, highlighted are the reasons you should not criticize somebody's spelling or grammer.

You really don't get Kitana or Mileena do you?

Anyway, I think a Kitana/Mileena Mythologies type game would be cool. Not because of the "fanboy service" or any of that nonsense but because I think they have one of the best, IMO the best, storylines in MK.

Eh, explaining silly jokes... I wrote "teh". It's in the thread's topic, 3 words left of "evar".

Yeah, keep telling it yourself. Why do you think are a female characters in a videogames anyway? Do you really think these are for a girl gamers, so they would identify with their gender character (or, I don't know, a wannabe wifebeaters or something)? Or that the original Tomb Raider's tremendous success had nothing with Lara being a first mainstream videogame sex symbol?

This stuff makes more money, and every corporation knows "sex sells". Also: Mileena was even already featured IN THE PLAYBOY. Now, realise why. (Yes, the hard working guys at Midway not even pretending, but than again, I have no idea why should they even try.)

Not to mention the infamous mud wrestling scene in the equally infamous MKA (ah, this movie was so stupid). And the guys at Japan went as far as the Rumble Roses (by Konami), or even this thing called Battle Raper (...god). As you see, no one even bothers!

(why the hell is all this in a bald font?)

No shit Sherlock.
I was just pointing out that while there is cheesecake appeal, it would not be the only reason a Kitana/Mileena game would be "teh best MK evar."

Not that I don't like them, but they are loosing on first sight importance and mainly on fresh ideas. Kitana-Mileena feud. All over and over...at least last time Mileena managed to get pretty well on her own.

I don't like the idea, becouse they aren't one of the protagonists or icon characters like Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Raiden, Scorpion or Sub-Zero.

So, KUNG LAO is a more "icon character" of MK now than the sister twins? Wow.

Yes. MOstly becouse of his MK2 fatality and Clint Eastwood style hat. Also, most male players can associate with his character better than the twins. Sorry but Kitana and Millena never been as much iconic that those mentio-ned above.

You must be kidding me (and you propably are). If not, look at a people's sigs. See? Now try to find people having Kung Lao. Or his site theme. I mean, come on.

Back to the game, I think it would be something like this videogame starring both Kain AND Raziel, also a pair of a once friends and now a deadly rivals. A friend told me player is controlling them alternatively.

I can kind of agree Kitana and Mileena aren't that iconic. But I wouldn't be so quick to say Liu kang or Kung Lao are either. I personally define an icon of Mortal Kombat as a character you identify with MK. Like someone who isn't even that big a fan would see this character and automatically think "Mortal Kombat." That said, I think Scorpion, Sub-Zero, and maybe Raiden would be the only ones.
Maybe not Kitana and Mileena because they could be confused with Psylocke or Elektra. Not Liu Kang because he can be confused for every other Bruce Lee inspired character ever created. And I very much doubt Kung Lao. Although Kung Lao is popular and well-regarded among MK fans, he doesn't seem to have the iconic stature as Scorpion or Sub-Zero who are pretty much MK's franchise players.

However, Kitana not being one of the main protagonists? I'm sorry, but what game have you been playing? Kitana pretty much carries, and still is carrying, the Edenia plot thread. Even when Kitana isn't playable her presence is felt in each game. MK3, she shows up in Liu Kang's ending and is brought up in Sindel's. She wasn't in MK4, but she was one of the reasons Liu Kang was fighting and then she shows up in his ending again. Case in point: what were Jade and Sindel doing in Deception? Trying to rescue Kitana. And do I really need to explain what impact Kitana's had on the storyline.
Like Kitana or not, she has played a crucial role in MK.
Also, Kitana is one of the few characters, heroic or evil, that has evolved through the games. Through the games we've see Kitana go from a heartless killer to a noble princess. In each game, a little bit of focus is given to Kitana and her desperate quest to restore Edenia and redeem herself even though she keeps getting loads of shit dumped on her.
Want an example? Play Deadly Alliance. After personally leading a war that lasted for x years, Kitana finally thinks she gains victory even though she loses a close friend in the final battle. Just when she thinks she can go home, she find that yet another evil has risen in the form of Quan Chi and Shang Tsung. THEN, on top of all this, she learns that her boyfriend, her hero, her symbol of hope, Liu Kang...is dead. And despite whatever grief she may feel over these losses, she insists on joining the Earth heroes against the Deadly Alliance only to die. And that's just one example.
IMHO, Kitana's perseverance in the face of her shitty life makes her a better protagonist that some of the other heroes who seem to just be there for the ride.

It could be good. They could call it MK: Tough Sluts or MK: Hard Tarts. :D I'd buy it if they were fit. In the shaolin monks shots i've seen they look a bit rough tho.
