I want to see Friendships more than anything, but I wouldn't mind if Hara-Kiris came back.

Nah, I would like to see some variant finishers like Friendships BUT I would like them to be super secret. At the end of the day, I'd rather each character have 3-4 Fatalities moves. 2 just gets repetitive, and it would be cool if 75% of stages had stage fatalities.

Mortal Kombat is renowned for it's finishers and I think the more, the merrier.

I think that could be cool. I like the whole idea of stealing the glory of finishing you, away from your opponent.

How about stage hara kiri's? Say you're about to get finished on the pit stage, and before they deliver the fatal blow, you just jump off the bridge. Ahhh, that could be funny.

Sure, but make the inputs longer than fatalities. It's so much easier for the loser to pull off the hara-kiri because the winner is busy trying to get his close/sweep/jump/far positioning right.

Fair point! Should being at a certain distance to pull off fatalities just go away at this point though? They've all gotten fairly cinematic anyway.

No more banalities... No more friendships.. Spend the extra programming and memory on characters, stages, detail etc.. That being said I'd still like to see Hara-Karis come back.. I like making it a competition between who can enter the fatality lot finish them self first.

Not really. In a game with plenty of silly stuff, alone of them were pretty silly. Didn't Sindel just jump up in the air and land on her head? WTF?

I do like the idea of beating the opponent to the fatality though, so maybe there's something else that they can do?

JUst because they're back, doesn't mean they have to be stupid (again)

Maybe we can see Quan Chi stretch his Own neck... God I hated that fatality.
