All the MK games, in 1 simple place?
Lately i've been interested in aquiring some of the older and odder MK games. Its actually proved to be a difficult task with just an xbox 360. I have MK vs. DCU, MKA, and UMK3 for the 360, but i remember playing Mortal Kombat 4 on my old N64 and i want to play it again. As well as try the first MK, which i have never played before.
So a lot of these games i've been having to hunt and peck for, in the Midway Arcade Treasures series of games(which if i buy gives me a game full of games whereas i only want 2 out of 20 of them),MK Deception Kollectors Edition which includes MK1, and lots more outdated sources.
I wish all these great, older games could all be in one place, like the xbox live marketplace.
Anyway, can anyone help me out and give me a better alternative to obtaining these games(maybe i'm just a complete ding dong). Are my sources correct? And i don't want to go out and get any new game systems or anything.

You can have every MK game that came out with a PS2 and a PS3.
PS3 for MK vs DC
PS2 for MKDA, MKD, MKA and MKSM + the collector edition of MKD contains MK1, MKSM's MK2 and MKA's UMK3
Plus, MKMSZ, MKSF, MK4, MK3 and MKT can be played on PS2.
if you wish an arcade perfect version of MK3, buy the MAT2 game.
You'll absolutely need a dreamcast for MKG.
And don't play nintendo versions of old MK games, they suck.

It will be kind of hard to find the Premium edition of MKA nowadays, if i were him I'd get MKTrilogy for PS1(same game, more chars)
and why does he need a dreamcast? the beginning said he only needed a PS2 and PS3, nothing about dreamcast

He actually don't need a Dreamcast to play MKG. The game is nicely emulated on PC thanks to nullDC.
BTW, MKT is definitely different than UMK3. And not just as it comes to number of characters.

i meant same in terms of gameplay, all of the MK3 expanded characters have the same abilities

Too bad, because the gameplay is exactly what makes the whole important difference. UMK3 is a far more balanced game than MKT.

No, they don't.
MK1- Plug n Play controller, also available on MKD kollectors edition
MK2- MKSM unlockable by completing the 5 Smoke missions (Smoke can be found in the Lving Forest level), also available on PSN (sadly, you only have an Xbox 360, so this one is unneeded, just throwing it in)
MK3- Available for PSX, therefore playable on PS2
UMK3- MKA Kollecter's edition, also on Xbox Live Arcade (you already have this one)
MKT- Available for PSX, therefore playable on PS2, HOWEVER, there ARE errors, whenever you ebat the game, it crashes and the game freezes.
MKSZ-Available for PSX, therefore playable on PS2
MK4- Available for PSX, therefore playable on PS2, same for N64, also ported to the Gameboy
MKG: Unless you have a Dreamcast, an emulator's your best bet.
MKSF-Available for PSX, therefore playable on PS2
MK:Adv- Available at any Gamestop or Play n Trade for under $15 for the GBA
MKDA- Available at any Gamestop or Play n Trade for under $10 for the PS2 or GBA
MK:TE- Hard to find, available for the GBA, haven't seen ti anywhere recently though
MKD- Available at any Gamestop or Play n Trade for under $15 for the PS2 or Xbox
MKU- Available at any Gamestop or Play n Trade for under $20 for the PSP
MKA- Available at any Gamestop or Play n Trade for under $20 for the PS2 or Xbox
For any that you can't get, there's always an emulator, however, due to the rules, I can't tell you where to find them.

Anyway, can anyone help me out and give me a better alternative to obtaining these games(maybe i'm just a complete ding dong). Are my sources correct? And i don't want to go out and get any new game systems or anything.

I think I can help:
Midway Arcade Treasure1 or 3 has MK1. It is not Midway Arcade Treasure 2 for sure because number 2 has MK 2 and 3.
On the XBLA market, I've found UMK3 which is the most badass I've ever played. If i get anymore info, I'll be the first to let you know!
