Best 3d MK.

I think the best 3d mk fighter is mortal kombat 4, then deadly alliance. first of all mk4 had its problems but it's the best reprensentation of a 3d mk fighter. it was still very fast like the 2d games and was very dark, gritty. the fatalitys were good and in 1997 the game graphics looked good. like i said i know mk4 had its problems but its still the overall best 3d mk fighter to me. all the other 3d fighters are too slow for me. deadly alliance was the smoothest out of the "pure" 3d games. the fatalitys did not look that good for some reason. if mk wanted to keep making 3d fighter they have kept buliding on too mk4. Tell me your opinion!!!!
A draw between DA, and MKvsDC. DA was fun to see a new fighting system, and the krypt was cool, however it strayed to much from the originals. MKvsDC was cool because it felt almost more 2D than 3D, but the fatalities and lack of content sucked.

Hey all!
I must admit that I'v played MK4 A LOT on my N64! I really liked that game! Then, when I'v tried MKDA: The new drawing of the character was WOAH! Return of a 3D Cyrax, a Drunken fella, New Shang Tsung... CAGE!
But then...
*Slower
*One fatality per character (WHAT???)
*No more video ending (Why did they go back???)
But still... I'm a MK fan, so I'v played a lot! I must admit that MK Deception was a great surprise too (maybe more nice then MKDA, but without Cage)... but I admit that MK4 is one of my best 3D MK games of all the series.
Peace out gang!

Well the best fighting system has MK 4. The Run-Button, the fast gamespeed and the simple combo-sytem are awesome!!
Buit its got an ugly graphik and some bugs....
They should go back to this fighting style, fix the bugs and take the new graphiks from MK Deception.
Because this game got the best graphiks.
The best charakterdesign gots still MK 2! This design should be taken for the next game with the fighting system of MK 4 and the high quality graphiks from Deception. That would be a perfect game to me^^

mk 4 has a 3d graphik engine and the in- and outsteps are the same like in DA, Deception and Armageddon. There you fight in a plane too^^
If you define a 3d gam in that way, Shaolin Monks is the ONLY 3d MK

Despite it's many faults, I love the hell out of Armageddon. Awesome intro vid, every character, create a fighter, the comically over the top endings, and a vastly improved Konquest. Good effin' times.

Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance is my favorite 3-D MK game. It reintroduced the series, bought back old favorites with a few new ones. Old characters were given new fresh storylines. The storyline was great and shocking and introduced the very possible threat of the Dragon King which sadly Deception didn't do all that well , in which every character were linked to the overall greater story. The game play was new and fresh.
Note: I like MK4, but the characters were too cookie cutter.
Mortal Kombat Deception - Start
I don't see how people can like MK: Deception, it introduced pointless new modes to the series that had no business, which otherwise could have spent resourses building a better fighting engine. Also the new characters were boring. The chaos/ Order realm side stories were not needed nor did they mattered
Konquest mode that forced you had to play to unlock characters , and stages that you had to wait at certain times to unlock. I bought /buy Mortal Kombat for the fighting not a adventure game.
Mini games like Chess and Puzzle. ( Chess mode) can somewhat understand, but still does it really belong in a Mortal Kombat game, much less a fighting game.
Puzzle kombat shouldn't been in the game.
Overall no improvements to Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance's fighting engine. The first MK game where the MK team did not improve or add anything game play wise from the previous entry. I'm sure they could have done something more than just combo breakers. By the way MK4 doesn't really count since that game was more of a experiment for MK in 3-D.
The return of Uppercuts wasn't a big deal in Deception since they just were pop up attacks, the same as Deadly Alliance's attacks in which you could hit your oppent twice with a pop up attack and on the 3rd "pop up hit your oppent would automaticly hit the ground.
Weak arcade latter.
Deception's "throws" - Are you serious? Deception's idea of a throw is to grab me(that takes away health), hit me 10 times ( that takes away health), and then throw me (that again health gone). Also they are unblockable. The only way to avoid Deception's throws to be crouched?!?!Worst type of throws in the series by FAR.
Cut and paste characters and fighting styles (Kira)
I am disappointed that some MK fans rate this game high on their list only because of returning characters and the multiple fatalies and "dark feel". Shouldn't a good sequel improve from a mechanic point of view first and for most?
Deception - End
Armageddon was a step in the first direction. Wake up and air combat set it apart from both MK DA and Deception in a huge way. The biggest problem looking back that the game felt too much. Again with a konquest mode with a character no one really cared about. Again like MK Deception the storyline wasn't really there.
The MK team could have done the same story with smaller amount of characters. The cart mode was not needed and was a waste of time. Overall Armageddon is my 2nd favorite 3-D game.

Deception. It would be MKvsDC if it weren't for the vsDC part and the lack of cool stages. Deception was missing a few of my favorite characters but at least it had Liu Kang and a whole bunch of neglected characters, classic stages and gameplay was an improvement over deadly allience and I still think it's better than armageddon.

Deception for me. I think it's the most replayable I play it over Armageddon even today. For me it was the Ultimate Mortal Kombat Experience.
