I mean, it's not like Wolverine and his forearm length claws. Baraka's are almost half the length of his body. What gives?

He comes from a world of magic and monsters. They probably spontaneously grow and shrink.
In X-Men terms, think of Marrow instead of Wolverine.

Jax has no fatalities in MK3.
Nope. They don't exist. Never happened. Lalalalala I can't hear you.

The thing I wonder is, in deception Baraka's "blades" appear to not even have an edge, in renders they just look like round spikes of metal with a sharp point at the end. I mean, that still makes them deadly, but they wouldnt cut anyone unless he used the very tip.

Also, another thing that bothered me about Baraka in MK vs DC was that during the story mode he could fully articulate his words, notice how he has no lips just straight teeth, he wouldn't be able to speak that well at all.

They're more triangular or half-circle shaped, really. The flat side and sharp edges are facing away from us in that pic.

Let's go with magic. Same reason Mileena can not just talk, but imitate Kitana, without having lips.
