Is Motaro better as a quadriped, or a biped?
I've witnessed plenty of people say Motaro was improved in MKA, not ruined. So I wanted to know the general consensus here.
I prefer Motaro as a quadriped. As his true self. Superb, creative and distinctive design. Graceful and elegant in his movements and victory pose. His jumping was a thing of beauty.
Then they butchered him. It didn't just end with the removal of his hind legs though. They also took away his immunity to projectiles, made him throwable and even made it possible to juggle him. It's almost as if they wanted scrubs to easily beat him this time.
Ed Boon's excuse was that he wouldn't as fun to use as a quadriped. Translation: he'd be too difficult to play as. But that's what I wanted! Playing as Motaro in MKA's gameplay should have been a memorable experience. I wanted to have to adapt to his style, to try and master him. To have memorable fights as him, and against him, with the Oni, Havik, Reptile's MK:DA self etc.
Instead I got this mockery of him. He no longer had grace or style. Hell, just look at his pic on the character select screen, he looks depressed. And then there was his voice. My god, what a joke! Motaro in MKA was one of the most missed opportunities in gaming ever. Certainly not that surprising, given that Drahmin's iron club apparently proved annoyingly difficult for the MK team to program as well, which is why Freddy ended up getting two gloves.

Motaro is better off dead.
But to answer the topic of this thread, I would say the race of centaurs, or Centaurians, works best with four legs. I prefer Shokans though.

Without a doubt his Centaur form.
Though without that god damn'd noise he makes when he jumps.
It rapes my ears.

His original form, of course!
In MKA, I can beat him with, like...everyone, and I am a very average player...
In UMK3, which I just played today, I turned off my console after 1and a half hor, because I couldn't get past him...
...But thn I realized that's what Motaro's all about.
...but I like Goro better.

He's supposed to be a centaur, a centaur is what he should be. Not a minotaur, not a satyr, a centaur. Top half, man. Bottom half, horse.
He's supposed to be a Centaur, so a quadriped. Making Motaro a minotaur feels like a cop-out to me, I'd almost rather he not show up, it;s like when they had Sonya in Deadly Alliance without her iconic special moves, she felt bare and incomplete and that's how I feel about Motaro not being a Centaur.

Motaro needs FOUR legs!!!..... He was pretty good in Armageddon but it's just not the same. I liked playing as him in Trilogy and trapping opponents in the corner and just kept doing his back kick....people were usually screwed when that happened lol....although he did sound like a dinosaur back then

About Me
If Skarlett was spellt with a 'k' instead of a 'c' then why wasn't Scorpion spellt with a 'k'?!!!

I would say that Motaro deserves to have four legs but that way he seems to be to hard to beat but either way Motaro looks daft with just two legs.
So I would say that it should be Four Legs but if they were to do that they should tone down the difficulty just a little bit.

Centaur all the way. It's easily a much more iconic profile image. I'd love to see them pull off a playable quadruped. Spinning and sending the opponent across the screen with a hind leg kick would be awesome. Knowing the practicalities of a 3D rendered fighting game, I can understand how he'd be a tough nut to crack, but not impossible. I hope we see him soon.

He wouldn't even be hard to do, they're just lazy.
They did it in MK3. It's real simple. The bosses are slow, can't jump as high and have less moves but more power, and are immune to certain things already. Look at Goro's move list in the one challenge where the game lets you use him. He's crap because he doesn't have his moves mapped to the same buttons as the playable characters, he only has a a bunch of pre-programmed special moves and power attacks, and he moves like a slug.
Well Motaro's gameplay would be EXACTLY the same as that, exactly the same as how he played in MK3. It's not like he's for the players to use, he's a boss. So it's perfectly okay for him to have limited moves and mobility, JUST like Goro, Kintaro, and Kahn do, JUST like he did in MK3.
The only difference is you'd have to add immunity to X-Rays to him, which Goro, Kintaro, and Kahn don't have (but that's fair because he SHOULD be more challenging than normal. Honestly, the subbosses are weak as hell in MK9) OR you could create a special X-Ray that only works on him and every character does instead of their own.
