In my opinion, Dead or alive might be one of the best fighters I have ever played. Although a little difficult at some times, I feel it has the most complex and realistic fighting system. Plus, the graphics for it are insanely beautiful (especially in DOA4). Obviously, the fighting engine would have to altered a little to include classic mortal kombat qualities such as projectiles, the classic uppercut, etc. If team ninja takes over the series, or maybe even integrates MK characters into the Dead Or Alive series, the popularity of MK would probably improve. Team ninja would definitley be a nice new home for MK.
DOA doesn't have a complex fighting if your good all you have to do is use the over powered counters they are very easy to do. I would hate to see MK go the DOA path then all the game will have is one dimensional characters with big boobs, and big eyes.DOA 4 graphics looked bland to me, they look alot like DOA 3 graphics.MK would be more of a joke then it already is.
Take note that I don't hate DOA, but team ninja should leave MK alone.

If the recent Ninja Gaidens are anything to go by they'll certainly have the gore sorted out.
But the art syle of DOA and Ninja Gaiden has always looked very plastic in my eyes.
Couple with the fact that Tecmo has merged with KOEI as a result of that complete cunt Itagaki and several Team Ninja employees leaving Tecmo means that, Team Ninja is only ever going to be working on the DOA/Ninja Gaiden series

Generally, I agree. Maybe except for the integration part. Like many people have said already: no more crossovers. Although I wouldn't mind a secret guest character
Also, we shouldn't be worried about the brutality factor as they have some experience with that in games (e.g. Ninja Gaiden).

Go ahead and try that in some tournament then. Obviously you don't have a clue on how to play that game...

...or maybe you didn't even see it.

DOA is cool, but Techmo will seriously screw up MK.
I'll just stick to EA Games or Ubisoft. I know one of them will do something right.

I'm sorry, but you don't look like you know what you're talking about when you don't even know the company's name.
And EA? Seriously? I'd rather give it to Nintendo...
P.S. Shouldn't this topic be in the Future MK Games Discussion?

I take it you don't what Techmo is.
Anyhoo, Electronic Arts has a better chance at making a gore-bound game than cute-pussy-dog Nintendo. Besides, if EA can stick to the fights they had in The Sims, I think we'll be in for some beatdowns that brutal and funny.
Gotta love Happy Bunny.

Man, you didn't get it. At all.
1) It's TECMO.
2) The part with Nintendo was a SARCASM.
3) I won't even bother on commenting the EA part.

Yes, yes they have. Marvel Nemesis. Its essentially Marvel Vs EA designed characters. It makes Mortal Kombat Vs DC Universe and Marvel Vs Capcom genius in comparison. Lets never speak of it again.
They have also published the Fight Night games and the Def Jam games. But they have since sold the developer that made those games.
