I realize that this realm was only made up to justify Freddy's presence in a MK game, but I see no reason why it couldn't become canon, without making Freddy a permanent part of MK (not that I'd mind that).

It could be used to introduce new characters, and some familiar characters could even return as "dream warriors" (heh). In a way this could make Freddy canon to MK, but relax, as I've said, they wouldn't have to keep bringing him back just to justify the dream realm's existence. I doubt he's the only dream killer in the ANOES universe, so even though new dream entities would come from the same realm (or rather, reborn there), they wouldn't have to look and act anything like Freddy. They'd be MK characters.

Imagine exploring it in MKD's Konquest mode. It could make the chaos realm look orderly. Maybe you could even explore a MK's character's psyche.

Dream realm would mean MK a new story that's never happened with this realm. MK has already done other realms in previous games. Something has happened in Elm Street with the title of Dream Warriors, I dunno what happens tho.

This dream warrior looks like a crusader.

How about Dante's Inferno as guest

Introducing a canon dream realm might make things a little...complicated since all of the realms are already a dream the One Being is having in his coma-sleep.
I mean...dreams having dreams? I'm just gonna throw this out there: not everybody liked Inception.

Not everybody saw it, either, IE me.

What you said in your last paragraph reminded me the the movie "The thirtheen floor" which *SPOILERS* had a virtual simulation inside a virtual simulation.

But getting back to topic, even though the realms are shattered remnants of the One Being's consciousness, every beings that exist in it is sentient. And they dream. Meaning, we already have dreams having dreams. And the dream realm might be one of the reasons people dream, in the MK Universe.

First off, I don't understand that first paragraph.
And Second: Really? Get a picture of something already called dream warrior and automatically say they should look like that?
Third: Soulcalibur constantly has guest characters but I don't think MK should follow suite. Dante is badass sure but not now.

Back to topic: I ain't into a dream realm. We already have a realm of the undead who never stay dead so dream creatures which can be brought forth from ones imagination might make it too complicated.

I honestly wouldn't mind if Freddy Krueger became an official character; he seems fitting enough.

I think the Dream Realm can be quite interesting, if utilized well.

Well if all the realms are dreams, what about a waking world where a dream can escape into the One Being's reality? I often wonder about the space it occupies.

Wouldn't that be The Void, where the Elder Gods live, since that's what existed before the One Being died and the realms were created?

I would think so, but with the conciousness of the One Being fractured into the realms, it's a wonder how the external view looks.
