That's one thing I've heard some people complain about, that the Tarkatans can speak so well. I want to explain why that is not so absurd in my opinion.

They are an alien species. They may have some sort of unseen organ in their mouth that allows them to speak English just fine.

But even if there was no plausible explaination for this, remember this: beings from other worlds speak fluent English. It's easy to understand why Raiden and the Elder Gods would know human languages, observing our world and all, but Outworlders, Edenians, Seidans etc? That's something else. Not saying there couldn't be a good explaination for it BTW.

What I'm getting at here, is that "realistically" (a loose term for MK), if a species like the Tarkatans existed, with mouths like theirs, save for the unseen organ(s) inside their mouth I mentioned in the second paragraph, they'd likely communicate through grunts and noises, which other species could learn to understand a la District 9's Prawns. I wouldn't mind if Tarkatan "dialogue" was handled like that in future MK games, but I like them speaking English fluently.

I just don't like something in fiction to be deemed absurd purely because some people greatly lack imagination.

wow people are touchy...anyways I'm not worried about the logic to be honest, it's a fictional world and I certianly don't expect logic at this stage in the game.

I love how forgiving you are of that. I'm not. He should not have replied unless he bothered to read my post. Clearly that is way too much to ask, silly me. Maybe I should start settling for mediocrity, like many people.

And really, judging a post purely by the title. Was I supposed to convey my thoughts just by the thread's title alone? I should think that when entering a thread and seeing many paragraphs that it shouldn't be too hard to realise the OP had plenty to say. But hey, most people aren't very bright.

So you claim to be a perfectionist yet lack the required logic to realise that perfection is but a word. Nobody has the right to claim perfection and your responses in this thread certainly aren't handled in a perfect way. Your also using BTW instead of by the way, that isn't perfecting a post.

Baraka is obviously a Tarkatan literary scholar that is fluent in many different languages.

Or maybe Raiden made it so that the earthrealm heroes could understand outworlders for convenience. And Kahn did the same for Kano & Kabal, it actually makes a bit of sense if you think about it.
