I guess it has to do with his story. He's been in MK1-MKDA and in MKA. He wasn't in MKD, because he was possessed by Onaga. As for him not being in MK vs. DC, I don't know. I think some of the MK team wanted him in there, but maybe they wanted to have characters that they felt could connect better with the story.

same with baraka he was on 2 but didn't come back till trilogy :P

Reptile is a quicky misterious character. He always been a spy/scout fellow since MK1 *(where he is a secret character)*. Even in the movie, Reptile is a spy.

But hey! He's been in MK1, MK2 UMK3, MK4, MKDA, MK:Shaolin Monk and MK:Armaggedon. So... I think he's been in more games then Kabal, Rain or Ermac for exemple.

As for MK VS DC, I think the reason is simple. In that kind of games, there's no place for 3 ninja look characters. And thats sad, but Reptile is less ((marketing)) then ScorpionTM and Sub-ZéroTM.

And plus... Kano who's chatting/robbiying with Catwomen is kinda interresting.

*(By the way, is that true that Kano lost is eye because his dog attacked him when he was young?)*

According to his Deadly Alliance Konquest mode text, Kano lost his eye in a fight with Jax.

There are already 2 ninjas in virtually all other MK games. Reptile is the least popular my friend.

It could have been cool to see Reptile as at least a secret or background character in MKvsDCU, but as stated, too many "ninja-like" characters. I honestly think he could have fit in a comic book world of such, but not with the storyline that was produced. The game was well balanced in heroes and villains, so I guess we can't complain too much.

about 80% of people i know who are NOT into mortal kombat know of only 3 characters.

Scorpion, subzero and Reptile.

Its obveously becaus eof the ninja craze. But hes iconic enough to be known very much. I feel this game should have had 2 more characters per side. It seems like we are JUST short.

Reptile and Johny Cage for MK, aquaman and i dunno. "V" (for vandetta, even tho hes not 100% DC. im pretty sure hes licensed by them or something).

What bugs me alot. Is that Reptile would have been lethal in this game. Forceballs, flaming teleports. acid spits and the slide-kick. He would have had so much potential its retarded.

i would have gladly sacrificed jax or Kano for him, as much as I love them.

The whole thought process put into this is stupid. No character besides a select few, that have become the faces of MK, is going to make EVERY game. I enjoy it when Cyrax is included, but I don't question why he isn't in every lineup. He's not a main character, thus he's not in every game. There can only be 20-30 characters in each game, and they have around 60 to choose from, so obviously some people's favrites are going to be left out. Oh well, move on and learn to find another character to like. Personally, I enjoy almost every character from 1-3, so it makes it much easier to enjoy each game regardless if my select few favorites(Cyrax, Kano, Baraka) don't make the cut.

You know what? Im pretty upset with the amount of bashing on MKDC. Sure the direction is NOTHING like what we wanted in terms of story, kontent and roster, but the engine alone amkes up for all of that.

The game is so solid its retarded. I literally was entertained for 2 hours just fighting batman in preactice mod eon very hard. The level of skill required compared to other games is amazing IF you know what your doing.

I just pretend the DC characters arent in there. Its just the MK chars for me and whoever plays it. Its just like an MK game but The fatalities are a little offsetting.

I can deal with it. The games mint. Cant wait for MK9.

I hope Reptile isn't in MK9 just to spite you all.
