MK2 because of the awesome sound effects.

Mk1, it was simple, it was straight to the point, and it fit with the story

I like MK3's

I liked MK2 for the music. I also liked MKDA because it was a vertical select screen, and that gives room to show full body renders of each character.

I still have MK2's select music stuck in my head

Ditto for me. MK2. I love the background in that screen. Looks like polished marble or granite. MK1 gets the nod from me next. I spent so much of my teen years looking at those 2 screens. Aaahhh. The memories.

MK3 maan, as a kid i'd almost s*** myself just by pickin a character, it was scary!

The E3 MKA select screen. The scrolling select screen was amazing, made it seem like that many more characters

MK3 – I always liked that Smoke (secret hidden fighter) is in the center of table, hidden behind the dragon logo.

I also liked the one from MK2, MKDA and MKD. Especially the one from MKD because the players first choice were on Scorpion’s and Sub-Zero’s icon. It was finally a time to recognize them as story leading charters!

Deadly Alliance. The music was great, the portraits were the best of any game, the renders looked great, and the smoky coloured backgrounds were pretty neat.

MK3 second, for the music alone.
